I'm in the business. I've cruised several times. This ship, its crew, its amenities, its food, its ambiance, its sense of experience, provided my husband and me with the most memorable "just the two of us" travel we have had in 46 years. I know this sounds like I was paid to say it---but I can't wait to BUY another RCI trip. This was to Alaska, but I think they can take us anywhere!

The ship was great, clean room and ship in general. Boarding and debarking was easy. The entire crew was great especially our stateroom attendant IWAYAN, SUGIANTA. He made our cruise wonderful. The food was great, etcBUT: every venue on the ship is too load, including in the atrium, bingo calling , etc. We are 80 years old & when we asked if the sound could not be softened we were informed-- that's the way we like it. Therefor we will not be cruising on Royal Caribbean again

This was my first cruise experience, and I enjoyed the Rhapsody. It was large enough to have a number of amenities without being overwhelming. The service was great - especially our stateroom attendant and the servers in the main dining room.

Not sure I would travel Royal Caribbean again

I found this cruise line to overpromise and under deliver. Prices for all amenities were high; commercialism was rampant. It is my opinion that cruise lines are attempting to keep prices at a level where they can get clients, then withdrawing simple pleasures such as a cappachino to gain additional income. There is a constant pressure to spend money. Almost $56 daily per person for alcoholic drinks and over $26 for soft drinks - all in US currency - is exorbitant, in my opinion. This has nothing to do with the service from the agent but I feel it needs to be better evidenced when I am making a decision to book. I also found Royal Caribbean's web site to be cumbersome and difficult to navigate.

This was our first time on Royal Caribbean and it was very pleasant experience. I would definitely cruise with them again. Our cabin steward was EXCEPTIONAL. The main dining was extremely nice and the Windstar buffet staff was also so very nice and pleasant.

The cruise was pleasant. the food better than recent past RC cruises. The ship shows its age -- things worn and neglected, including wear on the furniture in the cabin, rust can be seen on railings and balconies, some thing like the Solarium roof not working anymore. Service was good at dinner time, not so much in the dining room for breakfast. Some items ordered never showed up -- apparently the staff there was overworked. We were informed that we reached the level of Emerald in their loyalty program and thrilled beyond saying at the accompanying gifts of four small bottles of water and four stale cookies. Can't wait till we reach the next level to see what they come up with. RC has had to lower their standards over the years and it shows. They are not our choice for cruising anymore -- we went on this one to be with friends.

Great experience and a full itinerary. I don't know how we packed so much into so little time. All in all, a pretty good experience.

We found the junior suite accommodation excellent. The food and services (except for bar service) were outstanding. The entertainment was quite good as well and the house staff/attendants were responsive to all our needs.

First-time cruiser, so no personal comparison. I’m glad I wasn’t on a larger ship. Efficiencies onbord the ship are worked in, I’m sure, but I imagine it would be inundating to be with thousands more tourists at each port of disembarkation. Expensive! Great stateroom support. Great dinner dining experience.

Ahoy, but it's a maybe, not a full yes!

Our servers at dinner were great, Brenden and Angela. The customer service desk was simply awful. Not well informed, proned not to listen and geared to always say no, even when it was clear they were wrong. . . and it wasn't a language lost in translation issue. Also, Royal is cheap and miserly to charge for internet service so airline boarding passes could be printed, really?! However, the cruise director was great (a cheerful and funny Brit) and the Chief's Table meal and the meal we enjoyed at Izumi's were exceedingly good. Wonderful service, great and memoriable eats. Boarding and leaving the ship were well organized and efficient. A percentage of the crew were unfriendly and surly. That changed part way through the trip in a dramatic fashion. The captain must have given the crew a pep talk because for some crew members it was like someone flipped a switch. I realize these folks work hard, and they did, so maybe it was the end of the season blues.

Great B2B cruises, 8 night med followed by 14 night transatlantic. It had been a number of years since we had cruised on this smaller size ship. The itineraries were great, taking us to a couple of ports new to us. We started in Venice and spent two days there pre-cruise. We went on ship excursions in most ports. All very good. The service on the ship was excellent. Dining room wait staff was exceptional and the best we've had in many years. These people made the ship experience wonderful. They would see us at breakfast or lunch and stop at our table to greet us and make sure we were being taken care of and didn't want for anything. Some of our tablemates at these open seating meals were amazed. We had new waiters the second cruise, but our first cruise waiters continued this daily. The activities were the usual games + movies in the theater on sea days. Evening entertainers were good. One was really good - Jimmy Hopper. Disappointed no Veterans Day observe except 1 min silence.

Rhapsody of the Seas is one of the smaller ships (2000 passengers/700 crew). That added to the intimacy that made it soooo much fun! We participated in so many games and dance activities and got to recognize our fellow cruise passengers who did the same. All of the crew were helpful and pleasant. The activities director and his associates were spectacular! They made things lively and were so cheerful and inviting! We did activities that we never thought we would and had a ball doing so! I give high reviews to this particular ship/cruise.

Our time on the ship was fun. We did the sailing across the Atlantic and had a great group of passengers. The cruise director and his staff were great and lots of fun. The dancers were good, but I can't say that about the singers in the theater. Wanted to walk out a few times but felt bad. We were on for 3 back to back cruises. The food on the first one crossing the Atlantic in the dining room was just OK. The food in the buffet was much better. The shrimp was always soggy, the sauces on the meat were all the same. I finally ordered my meals with the sauce and it was an improvement. They only offered the chocolate molten cake once each week! Not much of a variety. The escargot was wonderful the entire time! A few times the bread was a little stale, but put the butter on it and it was great. Our first room was a balcony and it was great. The 2nd cruise we were on deck 2. Still that room was OK. Next was deck 3, room 3156...TERRIBLE!! Smaller than deck 2 and so noisy
