One of the best things I have ever done in my life is go on a cruise. Everyone from top to bottom was excellent. From the hostesses to the waiters to the cooking staff. Words can not express the fun I had on this trip. I want to thank everyone on the Royal Caribbean for making my first cruise the best ever.

Our travel agent Patty started by securing a convenient handicap cabin which would accommodate my husband's travel scooter.   This location was great since it was close to elevators which were on the dining end of the ship!   Since Navigator had been recently refurbished, things were shiny & clean.  The employees were very attentive & our diamond status was a plus.   Instead of having many meals on the 11th floor, we enjoyed the Saphire dining room for most breakfasts & lunches; how great to be waited on for almost every meal. While making plans, Patty helped guide us through the computer part of the registration, & made sure our preparations were complete.  We enjoyed a quicker check-in & departure than any other cruise.

The food and dining room service was excellent as was was the sewards service.  The evening shows were okay, but not as good as we've seen on other cruises. We've seen Las Vegas style productions on other cruises.  The  gentlemen who did the Neil Diamond tribute was excellent.  Should have been in the theater rather than in the promenade.  There was a terrible odor in the hallway on deck 6, probably mildewed carpet.  Not much to do for senior citizens  while at sea.

We have been on this ship and class before. This ship seems to have the biggest state rooms of all the ships that Royal Caribbean has in service. The service was great from the state room attendant, wait staff in the dinning room and bar service. The staff always seems to be happy and really enjoy their job. As we walked thru the ship it seemed that someone was always cleaning, which made us feel comfortable and not worried about the Norovirous. Thanks again for a great cruise

This was our first cruise on the Navigator of the Seas and we thought it was a very beautiful ship. We were glad to have flat screen televisions in the staterooms along with the huge outdoor theater in the pool area. We did miss the coffee tables from the staterooms as we no longer had a place for the room service tray! The beds were very comfortable.

The only complaint that seemed to be for all 26 of our party was that the pillows were not comfortable as they've previously been. The cleanliness of the ship, the amount of food, and the pampering from everyone was wonderful.

Elegant, gorgeous, clean and sanitized are just a few words that I think of when I think of the Navigator of the Seas ship. Everywhere aboard this ship makes you feel way more than special. You feel "extra special" - I mean, like a celebrity! You feel like you've stepped into a dream. It is a beautiful vessel and the crew and staff are absolutely the best at making you feel at home. Negatives of the cruise: entertainment was not very impressive, access to water is somewhat limited (There are not drink stations by the pool, and you must go to a bar to get water.) Positives: excellent service and food! We loved the three destinations - Cozumel, Belize, and Honduras.

sept 8 Royal Caribbean trip (Galveston)

Reviewed on: 28 Sep 2015

The ship was as expected, service was good, food was good. Note most of the entertainment was good, and public areas good, but the overall atmosphere was offset by an undesireable issue. . Note, we were taken back by the top 40 and rap noise that was being piped into the public areas and in some of the entertainment venues. This was not the case on the same cruise last October. Also seems the RC line is going to cater to a younger crowd with a replacement ship in Galveston port now. We and many on that ship are looking towards other cruise lines due to these reasons. Most patrons over 45 years old did not appreciate this noise in their face and it took away the splendor and of the cruise.

Our waiter Martino was excellent!!!!!! The Windjammer buffet was very good. We usually dined there for breakfast!!!!! Ship size was perfect! Really enjoyed the casino on board also! We didn't purchase a drink, package, due to an onboard credit, but definily will next cruise. Only negative, was we booked a balcony cabin only to find out there was no smoking allowed anymore on them. We won't book a balcony in the future, unless they change the smoking policy. Smoking areas were scarce. There were quite a few smokers!

Food was excellent as was all of the staff. I would not sail in Europe in August as the ship was very crowded with many families with children. We did excursions at every port and those were great, a good variety. I thought the bingo was expensive and the casino could use some updating. I had a ships credit posted to my account and they could not tell me who it was from, I received no card, as well as a bottle of champagne. The cabin was fine and we really enjoyed the virtual balcony. We did three specialty restaurants and they were excellent. My time dining was fantastic- we booked our reservations before we sailed. The shows were also extremely enjoyable.

Navigator of the Seas is a large ship, but not so large as the mega-ships Royal Carribean now has in their fleet. As such, venues were less crowded, but the range of activities and quality of entertainment was much less than other ships I have been on with Royal. Food/Service was good in the main dining room (My Time Dining) and excellent in the specialty restaurants. Our balcony cabin (8th floor deck/midship) seemed larger than on other cruise ships and was well maintained by our cabin steward. Staff on the ship was courteous, but no one really "wowed" me with exceptional friendliness or superior service. The one thing that really bugged my husband and I (as well as quite a few other passengers that we ran into) is RC loyalty program. If you have achieved "Diamond" status you pretty much have run of the ship and preferential treatment. If you haven't achieved this status yet, there were several times we were turned away from a venue as it was reserved for "diamond members only.

Navigator of the Seas was the right size for our trip. The ship is showing its age but is going to dry dock in January for the updates necessary. Entertainment was good but it was hard to understand all the entertainers dialogue since the ship left from South Hampton. Dinner was average and similar every night but the lunches were the best served in the dining room on sailing days since I have been sailing. Excursions were interesting but you need to ask a lot of questions before signing up.
