Ship was nice ,cabin was very nice and ship personal were very nice. Some amenities seemed to be missing though . For example no cold towels or drinks when returning to ship after tours as I saw carnival ship passing out when we were docked next to it . There were no silver sea bags or back packs in cabin. Reception desk did not know that a Greek customs officer would be on ship at last port before going to Istanbul .

My recent trip on the Silver Sea Spirit was very enjoyable. The ship is clean, the personnel are courteous and always there to help. I did enjoy the Butler and his kindness to me. The food was very good. I do feel as though they could have had more lectures on the destinations. It would have been nice to have someone tell us a little of the history of the islands that we were going to stop at. I enjoyed it so much that I have already booked next years Christmas Cruise.

We were somewhat disappointed with the Silver Spirit as our expectations of our 5 Star resort ship were not met. The ship interior and exterior has really shown its age. Our cabin size was lovely and we only one challenge with the bed. If I was using the dressing table, I would have to move to allow my husband to go back and forth. The TV in our room was very poor quality and we had challenges getting it to turn off completely at night. The food was just okay and nothing to rave about. We at 4 of their restaurants on the ship. The service wasn't top notched. Lot's of inconsistency in their performance in the restaurants. The main dining room, The Restaurant, offered the identical menu at breakfast that you could get with room service. We were seated by tables that had not been cleaned off. The entertainment on the ship was good. The services were adequate. Our ship excursions were excellent and managed very well.

Silversea cruise on Silver Spirit Venice to Venice 9/11/15-9/18/15 was better than first cruise I took with them in Feb. The Pool Grill continues to be a bad dining venue. I had one lunch which was awful---chicken caesar salad---dry tough chicken, too much dressing on wilted lettuce. The service there is very hurried and haphazard ---- just like on Silver Cloud. La Terraza was excellent and so was The Restaurant. Room service breakfast was nearly flawless. My arrival for the cruise was delayed almost 12 hours. When I landed in Venice I had met another Slilversea passenger and after we finished processing lost luggage claims we met the transfer she had booked. It was now 8pm and only 2 hours before when I had been advised the ship would leave Venice(inexplicably it departed at 11:30). The Silversea rep at the airport refused to allow me to join the transfer although I had Silversea ID and said the charge could be added to my ship account. She cited some security issue

Just returned from our Panama Canal cruise. It was wonderful! Great personal service and a once in a lifetime adventure. We'd recommend Silversea to all who want a truly luxury experience with pampering and class. The all inclusive package makes it so enjoyable and they don't skimp on anything at all, it's awesome. Are there things they can improve on? Of course, who can't? We wish they would eliminate their "jackets required for gentlemen" requirement for their "informal" nights and that they would eliminate "formal nights" altogether. But some people love that, I suppose. And WiFi should be free, after all this is 2016, right? We enjoyed it so much that we've already booked our next cruise on Silversea!

The standard dining room was quite nice, but beautifully enhances by numerous other dining choices: our favourites were La Terrazza, The Grill, and La Campagne. 5. Rex and Louisa in the 11th Floor Observatory Lounge were memorably outstanding 6. Cruise director Vickie wore countless hats, and wore them enthusiastically and beautifully 7. Beverage service choices were above-average, and the wine list offered over-and-above was thoughtful and well priced. 8. Special Interest Shore excursions were excellent, i.e. cooking classes, wine and food tours, and such 9. Spa services and providers were excellent NEGATIVES: 1. Nice Ship but too big for us.

By: Diana

Reviewed on: 06 Jul 2017

We had previously sailed with Silversea on a smaller ship and enjoyed a better level of service in the public areas such as the dining rooms and the bars. This ship felt somewhat "institutional" to us: Example wine offerings were the white or red wine of the day with other options only made available if we pressed for them. We finally connected with the Head Sommelier who was more accommodating. We also felt it odd that one of the bath product lines we were offered were labeled in German, a language we do not speak. The Laundry Room appliances were also labeled in German, leading to great confusion. Another odd issues include: Not being able to use the hairdryer in the bathroom. The wall unit in the bedroom encroached on the walking area near the bed resulting in the waiter banging into the woodwork every time he brought a tray to the room. Bath towels had strings hanging from them not quite up to the the luxury linen category we expected.
