Our Alaska cruise on the Navigator was a dream come true! Regent took care of every detail. Every single crew member we met was competent and friendly, and they went out of their to make this a perfect cruise! We felt pampered from beginning to end. The naturalist onboard, Terri Breen, was a gem! Her lectures and commentaries made Alaska, its natural beauty, and its people come alive. Regent may be a bit more expensive than other cruise lines, but it's worth every penny of it!

My first cruise on Regent..I travelled alone. Staff and crew were very attentive. Show; activities; and tours were very interesting. Terry Breen was SO informative and approachable. Cruises into special cities were highlighted by her further knowledge of each harbor. Dana and Jamie were the greatest cruise directors. Kitchen accommodated a food allergy with ease. Captains eased us through storm areas. Virtuoso reps Jean and Carol gave us extra events to enjoy.

We have now taken 4 cruises on Regent and have been on each of the 3 ships that Regent currently has. We highly recommend Regent--the quality and friendliness of the staff is outstanding. The food is wonderful. The excursion options are mostly good--there is always something of interest. The shows are wonderful. The rooms are comfortable. They are a quality cruise lines and I always recommend them to others when asked.

We did not have a good experience on Regent during our last cruise in 2011-they lost my luggage getting off the ship (showed up in Istanbul 6 weeks later). They did not assist me in finding luggage and did not acknowledge receiving any of my letters to guest services. We decided to give them another shot this year and we found them great this time.

Like this ship very much. Small and all the things wanted on a cruise. Very good entertaiment and shows also top notch people. I like the room very much they are big and the closet are big and easy to place your things.The crew is always very personal and frindley. The food is very good top of the line. I would recommend this line to anyone and I think they would have a great trip.

My Alaska cruise was my first experience with Regent Cruises. I was thoroughly impressed with the ship, the staff, the food, the excursions offered and the attention given me by the entire staff. I have since booked a Caribbean cruise with Regent for January 2014 which also happens to be on the Navigator. The fact that the Navigator is a small ship added to my wonderful experience. I would highly recommend Regent Seven Seas Cruises and the small ship experience.

The service was outstanding. The food was excellent. I was most impressed with the standard wine list. I did not feel it necessary to order from the premium wine list, a high compliment. The cabin was extremely spacious. There was plenty of closet space (walkin) and the bathroom was large enough to share. We enjoyed having a butler and recommend the experience. Our main criticism was there was very limited outdoor space that was shaded.

Our itinerary was the main draw. The smaller sized ship was pleasant as it could negotiate the Amazon River. Passengers were predominantly expereinced with Regent and this ship, so they were friendly and helpful with info. The downside of the smaller and aging ship was it lacked stabilizers and we had several rough sea days. Service was superb, food was excellent, entertainment terrific! We will probably experience Regent again.

My only cruises (2 to date) have been on Regent, at the recommendation of my brother (a very frequent Regent customer). Our Black Sea Odessey in 2013 was truly over the top. Wonderful experience & I looked forward to cruising again. This recent Caribbean cruise had some issues for me, namely experiencing very rough seas,, hence sea sickness & also dealing with disturbing noises & motion in aft suite on deck 8. (engines out of balance??)  I've leaned much now on when, where & what size ship to cruise.  Would I cruise again. Possibly. Likely, will be with Regent  but on a bigger ship than the Navigator. And I would do due diligence on potential sea conditions. The service, entnertainment, staff, and food were awesome, as anticipated. The accommodations were ok.  Please get some different brands in the boutique other than overly priced & predictable Ralph Lauren. Black Sea cruise had some fun stuff from local cultures; Caribbean cruise had nothing to offer.

I have already recommended the line and ship.  It was an extraordinary cruise.  The staff was always there to help and we used the Doctor and were pleased with his concern and care.  Also the nurse was helpful.  The food good and the entertainment was outstanding.  Could not have been better.  We had dinner with the captain one evening and found him to be charming and informative.

Spectacular service and spectacular big smiles on everyone and everywhere.Plenty of space for everyone;  food mostly not of high gourmet quality but always good. The tours are run like clockwork; I would only wish for an onboard speaker with knowledge of the places on the itinerary.  I had questions;no one had answers. Ship extremely comfortable. the cabin furniture was a little stiff.  The butler system was incomparable!  worth every penny.

I have done many Regent cruises and been very satisfied with all of them. However, on this cruise, the boat lost its stabilizers, and this may have been an effect of that problem, but out cabin which was last aft, was extremely noisy, both banging and clanking beyoun normal engine noise and vibration which we are accustomed to and have no problems with.

The Navigator was a wonderful ship for relaxing and cruising through the Panama Canal. The excursions were so-so, but the best part was being on board ship and experiencing navigating the canals. Great History. Wonderful food, beautiful suites. Service was excellent. We have spent over 100 days on Regent Ships. We love them!

Loved the smaller size of the ship which allowed direct access to ports.  Food was delicious (although slightly salty) and staff friendly.  We did have one issue with a foul odor (sewer-like smell) in our room on two nights. So bad, we had to crack our balcony door.

Regent watches the details, and that makes all the difference.  Service always came with a smile.  The crew was knowledgable and ready to help, and the officers where congenial, informative and safety conscious -- important characteristics as we hit 75 mph  winds and 30 foot seas approaching Hubbard Glacier. I have also found Regent passengers to be typically well traveled, well read, self assured and friendly.  Conversations came easily.

All ship board was good to great. The return part of the tip was a nightmare. Had to disembark at 7:45 A.m.. Taken by bus to Anchorage to hotel with a hospitality room. Our flight did not leave until 8:00 p.m. Due to arrive Chicago at 5:00 a.m.  No place to lie down and rest. Ended up sleeping on the floor. Had serious cold to start with. The plane had to land to refueling and we got home at 10:00 and I was sicker than a dog.  Ended up in the hospital for 9 days after that. It killed the beauty of a 20th anniversary trip if you know what I mean.  Couldn't you have provided a bed for those of us there so long???

Recent trip to Alaska was awesome.  Staff and crew were more responsive to passengers than on my previous trip..ship was cleaner in appearance.  Jamie and Dana Logan are still the best cruise directors, constantly interacting with passengers, making it fun to be aboard.  Terry Breen is still a remarkable story teller--amazing that she uses no notes, but is informed on many areas of the world.  Her lectures impart a wealth of information which she is so excited to tell  us.  Captain made a wise decision to abort the trip to the Hubbard glacier because of rough weather.  Singers and dancers worked hard to give us great entertainment.  Air deviation fee became useless when our reserved seats were changed at the last minute (became business class so were cancelled out) and we ended up at the rear of the plane.  Land tours were better organized with new busses which was bonus.  Confusion about free wi-fi for concierge on letter.

we love this cruise line. the food is fabulous. the staff is friendly and kind and willing to help to accommodate you. this particular ship is small and sometimes a feeling of not enough to do takes over….the cabin rooms are very generous in size with a full tub, walk in closet, and sitting area. if you want to relax, read a book, have a drink…this is the ship. we will now always sail on Regent. looking forward to their new ship.

We were on the Navigator in June for an Alaska trip. All seemed fine but this trip they seem to have slipped a bit. Perhaps because they were headed to dry dock. Our suite, while well-located, was dowdy and in need of refurbishment. The food was uneven, too. Our cabin staff were absolutely wonderful. We do love Regent and assume that the problems will be fixed soon.

Love the small ships. Get to know the crew and other passengers. Do not repopulate a city when you dock. Tours are great and convenient sizes. Food is wonderful and the portions are not oversized. Can eat appetizer, soup or salad, and entrée and not feel bloated. Wine selections were very good and varying. First time but will not be the last.

Almost impossible to find fault with Regent; outstanding service; convenient size ship; interesting excursions; all inclusive (no nickel and dining over incidentals). Diet essentials handled expertly. Staff were well trained and friendly. Spa was too expensive; smoking area (cigar lounge) smell affects the entire area - including the library. Our second Regent experience; we would use them again.

Disappointing holiday travel

After several trips on Navigator which had been delightful. the trip leaving December 27 was a disappointment. We missed 3 important ports due to rough seas, But more important was the presence of over 20 children on the ship. I had never seen children on the Navigator before, but apparently they ran a children travel free special during the holiday period. Navigator has no dedicated children's facilities so it was a problem for many guests, including myself. The Navigator service staff was, as always, exceptional.

This was our second cruise on the Navigator and we thoroughly enjoyed our time aboard again. When they advertise 6 star and all inclusive that is exactly what you get. Staterooms are well appointed, spacious and well kept. Food service is superb coupled with fantastic wait and service staff. Shows were well done, Casino fun and inviting,Officers and staff were always present, friendly and accommodating. While everything did not turn out perfect, our time aboard and with the family on a special occasion was memorable and hopefully wil be repeated in the near future. If you like quiet elegance on a smaller ship that offers everything why would you change? We are not!

Over all an excellent cruise with outstanding friendly service which is what we expect from Regent. Only negative we encountered was getting on the internet. Regent advertises free internet for Gold and higher level customers but it was worthless. On our cruise (MIA - SFO) internet was included for all passengers. The system was unable to handle the volume. On the 18 day trip we were only able to get on-line the first day and the last day (inside the U.S. waters). I would hope to see solutions to this problem on future cruises. Either stop offering "free internet" to the entire ship, as they did on this cruise, or upgrade Regent's equipment to handle additional usage. It is a very popular perk

I informed our travel agent Judith Stand from Hurley Travel in Naples Florida or our complaints.. During the entire week on the to Alaska we had no AC in our room... we complained and a service man was sent 3 times to repair and it never worked. our Bath tub backed up one night with what appeared to be waste.. We felt the quality of the food did not live up to Oceania Cruise line.. which what we have also cruised.. Prime 7 was the only really good restaurant... and we were disappointed we could only eat there one night.. Once in Seven Seas.... I has given a dirty napkin... I was appalled... I wrote all this on my comment card

We had a wonderful experience on the Regent Cruise SS Navigator. The only thing I would say negative is about having to pay for internet service which was not very good. I was not able to upload my pictures from my trip to share with my friends daily. If they are going to say "all inclusive" it should include internet service which we found could on be used to browse web pages. Even almost all hotels give free Wi-Fi. It was not worth the money. The crew / staff were incredible, the food was good, the entertainment was good. We enjoyed our cruise. We would sail with Regent again.

Although smaller than some, the Navigator was a wonderful experience. Because of the size of the ship, we met and enjoyed people from all over the world who we might not have gotten to speak with on a bigger ship. We got to know the wait staff very well and enjoyed friendly banter during our dining experiences. The food was amazing, starting with breakfast and ending with the evening meal. Every food experience was quite good and the variety was amazing.The captain's daily message was appreciated since he always told us what was happening and did it in an amusing way, which made everyone want to listen. Our suite was very comfortable and well maintained by our cabin stewards. We wish there had been a larger casino and more stores; however, this comes with a smaller ship and the benefits of the smaller ship outweighed the absence of larger gambling and shopping. The excursions were really fun and offered an experience for just about everyone. We highly recommend this cruise!

Having traveled nine times with Regent, three on Voyager, I would rate this most recent cruise as ‘nice’. It was clearly not outstanding for three reasons: First, while the food served in Compass Rose is the right proportions, the main entrees are not normally hot when served; warm at best. Second, we found the specialty restaurants extremely noisy; too many tables jammed into limited space. And three, we noted that some of the excursions as executed did follow the descriptions provided in the literature. Guides adjusted schedule to their convenience, when there was problem/issue occurring. Recommend with reservation!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

We can't wait for the facelift in April as the ship needs it - especially in the handicapped suites where the bathrooms are showing much wear. Speaking of bathrooms, we did request Regent consider expanding restrooms that are wheel-chair friendly by the Compass Rose and the two restaurants on deck 10. We did a lot of rocking and rolling but in the end all was good. She is my husband's favorite ship!

The desktop computers on the Navigator could not connect to the internet. The DP guy said the reason was that the signal from the satellite was not strong enough. I have been on this ship two or three times before and the "old" computers were fine.

Doesn't live up to the Regent Standard of Excellence

We choose to cruise Regent because of the high standard of service. While the price point is higher, we have always felt that it was justifiable because of the exceptional service and attention to detail. Unfortunately, we cannot say anymore. The Navigator is just not in good condition. It’s worn and dated. We cruised on it 3 years ago and it doesn't appear to have been maintained well (malfunctioning suite A/C, inoperable telephones, brown tap water and faulty toilets - our suite and frequently the toilets on level 5 outside Compass Rose). Additionally, the pool service was subpar - we had to “bus” our tables in order to eat and get our own drinks from the pool bar because the poolside staff could never be found. The destination service staff appeared disorganized and as a result excursions were hastily called, not well-managed and chaotic. The only redeeming aspects of our cruise were our butler and stewardess. Unfortunately, we will no longer recommend Regent to our friends.

We were on the same ship last year, the Navigator. While the ship is still wonderful and will only get better as it is going to a refurbish shortly, the biggest difference in one year is the crew. Everyone in every department were friendlier, more pleasant and available to handle anything/request at any time, the difference was very noticeable from one year ago. I would say for an 11 day cruise, there was one crew member who wasn't overly enthusiastic that we had contact with, amazing when you consider the size of the crew. As a result of the obvious change in what Regent is doing in the training and teaching of crew members, the trip was more relaxed then ever before and we have been on the particular ship many times. The wonderful crew helped to provide an atmosphere of comfort that creates a fantastic cruise vacation. A tip of the cap to Regent for raising the bar in only one year to a very noticeable difference in crew, staff and officers. Well done!

We just returned from the Regent Seven Seas Navigator transatlantic crossing. The ship was headed to dry dock for a refurbishment, and there were areas such as lounge chairs and some carpet areas that were ready for an update. However, the cruise was still first class and there was nothing lacking in our suite accommodations. The staff were excellent and their attentiveness and consistent friendly service made the difference. As a small ship and lots of sea days, it really was the quality of service from the staff that made this an excellent environment for our vacation.

This was our fist curse with Regent and it was pleasant, but perhaps not as grand as we had heard it would be. The staff was extremely courteous and the rooms spacious. The ship (Navigator) is a little old and sounds/vibrations were often quite intense. We were glad we did not experience in rough seas! The food was very good, but not as good as CRYSTAL, which I must say still prefer. With Airfare and excursions it is a good value though. If the cruise is going where you'd like to go, I would think you'd be happy. An A- cruise. Great, but not grand.

I can't understand how Regent can take an old ship, spend a fortune to refurbish it, and charge us a small fortune to take the cruise and the end result is a creaky old ship that kept us up many a night in the rough seas. Also old ships do not have the modern and up to date stabilizers. I do not get sea sick but the rocking and rolling were excessive. This motion remained with us for quite a few days after we left the ship. I am use to small boats (44') and had to explain to the other guests on safari with us that the dizziness they were experiencing was due to the rocking and rolling of the ship.

We enjoyed the small size of the ship and excellent service from the staff. The mix of sea days and port tours was great. The ship is casual and comfortable, yet elegant. The opportunity to personalize the dining options within an extensive menu including local specialties, made every meal perfect. The variety of lectures and entertainment suited us very well yet left ample time to just relax and watch the sea from our veranda.

The Navigator has just be redone including major work on the "guts" of the ship. The work on the ship has all but stopped the vibration of the engines. The ride was smooth even in 5 foot seas. It's too bad they did not redo the bathrooms. They are tired and bathtubs are a waste of space. Dining rooms were wonderful, service - very special, medical facilities super (first time needing cold treatment at sea). Cruise Director, Jamie was the best organizer of the ship and Terry Bishop, lecturer and entertainer was always a crowd draw. We do miss the Jean Ann Ryan singers and dancers. A shout out to the superb security through the Aegean Sea.

Mixed. Great crew, decent food although not as good as Oceania, interesting lectures, one great bridge teacher, one terrible bridge teacher. NO observation deck, our cabin vibrated badly and was poorly maintained. Walls vibrated. Crew finally added French cletes because there was insuffcient number, whole areas need to be shimmed, in rough seas ship really rocked hard (much more than others). First half over half ship sick with respiratory illness. I had 5 minute appointment with rather incompetent doctor, no tests except urine and a $1000 bill. Insufficient food choices in evening.

This Seven Seas Navigator is the most beautiful, comfortable, hassle free way of traveling we have ever done. No packing or unpacking to settle into numerous hotel rooms involved! Short walks on the ship to excellent dining, (or in your room) entertainment (top quality), bridge playing, and tours you can take or leave. ALL inclusive. Wallet goes into the safe and stays til you get off the ship. Laundry and wi-fi too. We booked for another trip and can't wait to go again!

Regent cruises are the best we've taken. We feel so relaxed since everything is included. We never feel "nickeled and dimed" as we have on other lines. There are many choices of free tours available and they are all top notch. The food is delicious and varied. There are three major restaurants plus the pool. Service is outstanding. The crew is friendly, helpful and efficient. We enjoyed the lectures at each port. No public area is ever crowded… I could go on and on……tips, beverages, room service, outstanding shows nightly, music available in several venues plus lots of other activities….even the flights.

This was our first cruise on Regent Seven Seas, but it was by far our best experience, ever. They pamper you; the suites are huge, the amenities outstanding, the staff incredible and the ship size is perfect. We made a personal connection with the Captain, and many of the staff. The food was excellent, the drinks were good and every special request was done promptly, and with a smile. Highly recommend this ship and this cruise line.

It was an exceptional experience overall. Two ares which could be improved are the quality and speed of the wifi on board and the quality of the excursions. The ship definitely needs more bandwidth and constant monitoring of the state of the network. The excursions were below the standards set onboard. While I understand that they are limited by the onshore operators, I think that RSS could spend more time training their providers with respect to passenger expectations and why RSS is different to other lines. Terry Bishop was and exceptional speaker and a highlight of the trip for us.

This wasn’t ours first time with Regent Seven Seas so we were a bit disappointed as it wasn’t up to the excellent service level of our previous cruises with them. The Cruise Director was horrible, had to seek him out about day 3 or 4 because he was invisible unless we turned on the TV to see him. Dinning serve was very poor! I believe we had a crew in training! Both serve and food was disappointing several nights. Lunch was a challenge because the excusions ended at odd times so the only thing available was the grill or room service and when you are on a 4 or 5 hours excursion with on lunch and you get back at 2pm you want to relax and enjoy a nice lunch not the grill. Very disappointing so we’re currently deciding if we should give them another chance or try another cruise line (Crystal or Seabourn). It’s difficult because we really enjoyed Regents until this last cruise.

Very good. This is my second time on the Navigator. After her renovation a year or so ago I was looking forward to seeing what changed since the last time I sailed on her. I really liked the changes and the updated look and comfort of the ship. I felt welcome from the beginning everyone was so friendly and helpful. After a day or two they seemed to know what you like to drink how you like your coffee at the coffee bar. I really liked the menu changes and dining choices. The staff even remembered your name (love that) . The entertainment was good and the classical pianist was excellent. He was part of the band but also played in one of the lounges. The best thing about RSSC cruises is that it’s all inclusive no hidden costs.

The trip was very good. The itinerary was excellent (Dover to Lisbon) followed by an Atlantic crossing from Lisbon to NYC. The two segments were quite different. The first segment had only one cruise day, with tours on every other day. The second had many cruise days, with ports only at Madeira and the Azores, as well as Lisbon and NYC. The ship functioned very well (the Regent Navigator). I liked the small size. The staff was great. I would have liked a bit more variety in the food, namely there was only on "specialty restaurant" which we could only reserve once in each segment. The lecturer (John Freedman) was outstanding. The nightly entertainment was okay. My major complaint concerned the lack of sanctioned duplicate bridge. The first segment had no duplicate game, which was understandable because almost every day was a port day. For the second segment, it seems that efforts to procure a bridge pro with a sanctioned game fell apart at the last moment -not acceptable.

Since some friends introduced us to Regent we will never travel with any other cruise line. Their ships are small 450-700 passengers, and they have a great staff. The food, Drinks, and service are better than we have found at many 5 star restaurants. And of course everything from multiple excursions at each port of call, to beer, wine, cocktails, food, tips, etc. is included. Yes Regent is expensive and worth every penny. And our travel agent Janet Rubinger with Post Haste Travel does a wonderful job with us and arranges everything we need for a great cruise to interesting places.

We liked the smaller ship but the room where we played bridge was too small for the group. Our cabin was nice and spacious and Barbara and Alex Seagram superb! The best, indeed! The Seven Seas Navigator is a luxurious cruise but the ship may need to be retired at some point in the near future. However, the staff were very accommodating, the shows good *one in particular the best), the food fabulous and all and all, it was very much worth the cost. We had several very rough days at sea although the staff made allowances with flexible scheduling. We would highly recommend the Regent as a cruise line.

We chose this itinerary as it went to several ports we had not visited. We have been cruising for 50 years so finding a new port is getting difficult. They included Lysedil, Sweden, Stavanger, Hammerfest, and Kristiansund in Norway, Murmansk, Archangel and the Solovetsky Islands (unfortunately cancelled due to dangerous conditions for tendering) in Russia and Lerwick and Newcastle in Great Britain. Plus it started in Copenhagen and ended in Amsterdam -- two of our favorite cities. As to be expected, some were much better than others, but it was a good cruise that lived up to our expectations. It was also good to be back on Regent which treats us the way I would like it to be always. Excellent crew and amenities. Highly recommended.

My wife and I really enjoyed our cruise and of course the staff. The only glitch through no ones fault was a mechanical (windshield) problem on our flight from Denver to Newark flying first class. We payed around $2,800 extra for first class but the flight was cancelled so we ended up flying economy on United Airlines. Regent Seven Seas just came through and refunded us a little over $1,000 which is appreciated. We assume the other $1,800 was the cost of the refund flight which involved 2 flights on Air Canada which went fine. We are very happy with the ship, food, and accommodations and will definitely consider traveling again with Regent.

This was the first time we cruised on the SS Navigator. Previous cruises were on her sister ships which are larger. We found the smaller ship to be very nice. Excursions were easier to get to since there were fewer passengers. We had a very enjoyable trip.

It was great. We really enjoyed the lectures and entertainment staff. The food is always amazing 😉 the Navigator is a great size.

The ship's crew was outstanding, Super service, outstanding food, both in preparation and variety. It is hard to offer such variety over 25 days. The buffets for lunch around the pool were outstanding. Variety of entertainment in the evenings was marginal. The production shows were terrific and most of the entertainers were good, not great. Rooms were spacious and bed was extremely comfortable.

An excellent escape from winter

We loved the ship, and our lowest-end balcony suite was much larger than on other ships. All-inclusive was truly all inclusive, with unlimited drinks, choices of shore excursions (which could be changed on board without difficulty), specialty dining, and wonderful service. The shore excursions were a bit disappointing for RSSC, but that may have been due to limited availability in the south Pacific. Fellow passengers were in the age range of 60s-80s, primarily, and were some of the nicest fellow passengers we've met. The crew were equally delightful, friendly, and accessible, and accommodated every wish. Sailing 40 days from LA-SYD, we were never bored or without something fun or interesting to do.

Great, we enjoyed the free laundry and the butler was marvellous. I went for the low calorie meals and I lost 3 lbs in less than 3 weeks. I am thrilled.
