In Peru, Belmond operates two remarkable South American rail experiences: the Hiram Bingham, launched in 2003, an elegant, 1920s-style day train celebrating the thrill of exploration en route to Machu Picchu, and the Andean Explorer, introduced in 2017 as South America’s first luxury sleeper train, traversing the spectacular plains between Cusco and Arequipa.
