I served 22 years on the Chicago police force, including 12 as a security specialist with Mayor Richard Daley, before I decided to hand in my badge and dedicate everything to travel. At the time, I was already operating Born To Travel, an independent agency.

I grew up in Mexico (Monterrey), and my roots remain strong there: I'm a top travel specialist for Mexico via Conde Nast Traveler and National Geographic Traveler. I'm an avid hiker, photographer, gardener, and fly fisherwoman. 

I've visited over 100 countries, and I think this is one of my greatest value-adds to you as a traveler: I'm as comfortable tasting new food in a remote village as I am sipping champagne at a luxury resort. I can coordinate all types of experiences, because I've been on all types. I have that first-hand knowledge.
