I have been in the travel industry for more than 35 years. Along with my partner, Jose Catalan, who is also a Protravel advisor, I have visited more than 50 countries, with Cuba, Thailand, India, South Africa and the Chilean fjords being some of our favorite spots. We especially like cruising, not only for the value, but because the ships take you to wonderful places without having to pack and unpack or worry about food or safety.

My greatest gift as an advisor is when a client comes home after a trip and says that the part of the world they visited opened new ways for them to see other people. This is particularly true when grandparents take their grandchildren to places they’ve never been before, like Africa.

Jose and I used to own Fifth Avenue Travel & Tours. We have had a second home in Spain since 1989. It’s in a small village with a population of only about 25,000 people, and is within 20 feet of the Mediterranean. Obviously, travel to Spain is one of my specialties as an advisor.
