Julia Pirrung, Founder of Jet Set World Travel and AXUS Travel App, is a self-proclaimed global nomad who traveled to more than 60 countries before she turned 30. In line with her passion for travel and discovery Julia founded Jet Set World Travel, a luxury travel consultancy and concierge firm, in 2005 at the age of 24.

A German and American dual citizen, Julia had the opportunity to live throughout Europe for seven years, and visited almost every country on the continent, amassing an unparalleled expertise in the region. She has also explored much of the South Pacific including Fiji, French Polynesia and every Hawaiian island. Her passion for Africa has also led to adventures across Morocco, Rwanda, Uganda, Kenya, Tanzania, Botswana, South Africa and Zambia.

As a result of her ingenuity and industry leadership, Julia has been featured on the cover of Luxury Travel Advisor, included on such prestigious lists as Crain’s 40 Under Forty, Travel Agent’s Top 30 Under 30, and Travel + Leisure’s A-List (recurring since 2012). Julia has served in numerous leadership roles on boards ranging from ASTA’s Hotel Distribution Advisory Committee to Travel + Leisure magazine’s Travel Advisory Board.

Outside of travel Julia is an outdoor enthusiast who loves skiing, running, biking, and other Colorado mountain sports. Indoors she can be found testing new culinary concoctions and guiding an active son and daughter in their own discoveries of the world.
