Some people are born into travel. For me, it began the moment my wife and I found each other — and with it, a shared hunger to experience the world beyond the familiar.

Our first trip together wasn’t Paris or Cancún. It was Jordan. Standing at the edge of ancient landscapes stretching out toward the sea horizon, I understood what travel could really do: shift your perspective, expand your world, and stay with you for a lifetime. Coming from Moscow, I had never seen anything like it. That image never left me.

Our honeymoon took us backpacking through Europe — couch-surfing in the Netherlands and Germany, letting locals lead us off the beaten path. With a professional dance career in the making, our budget was modest. But the desire to truly be somewhere always came first.

Over the years, the backpacks gave way to carry-ons and the couch-surfing to boutique stays. One thing never changed: the refusal to settle for the obvious.

Because I pour so much into researching my own trips, I know firsthand how exhausting it can be. I also know the exact disappointment of hiring someone to help — only to receive a generic, copy-paste guide filled with places anyone could Google. I felt unseen. I’d spent more time sharing my preferences than the advisor spent crafting the actual plan. That moment became the seed of AD Luxe Escapes.

Before travel, I spent years as a professional ballroom dance coach — a career built entirely on reading people deeply, customizing every detail to the individual, and making each client feel genuinely cared for. When you train someone to dance, no two bodies move the same way. No two trips should, either. Bringing that same philosophy into travel felt not just natural — it felt necessary.
