My passion for travel was not born from a map, but from a single customized activity. When I was eleven, a travel advisor arranged for my family of seven to stay in a castle-like villa in the gorgeous Tuscan countryside, selected a phenomenal private chef to serve us nightly dinners that I still dream of, and carefully curated numerous personalized private excursions and experiences. During the planning process, my father conveyed my love of painting. And so, for the first jet-lag-ridden day of our trip, our travel advisor arranged for a local artist to come to our villa and lead us in a private plein air painting class overlooking the breathtaking rolling hills of our backyard. I recall feeling so special and seen that my father had arranged that experience with me in mind. That moment underscored the profound impact of truly personalized experiences on not only a trip, but also the relationships of those traveling it together. As a result, this memory established the ethos that now guides my travel planning for my own clients: the art of curating and weaving the individual interests of each and every traveler--from ages one to one hundred--into an impeccably executed itinerary.
