Annie’s love for travel has been inspired by her parents who instilled in her a zest for adventure as they exposed her to many travel experiences at a young age. One of the biggest catalysts in Annie’s passion for the world abroad was when her family encouraged her to study in Sevilla, Spain in college. Annie fell in love with a world of such vastly different sensory experiences than that of her hometown in Michigan. Her love for the Spanish language and lifestyle was born and she did not look back. Moving to Barcelona after graduating from college, Annie worked in fashion at the Gaudi Fashion Week event. After a few seasons, she left for Australia where she traveled for nearly one year. Being called back to the states, Annie found herself in San Francisco, where she continued to work for the Fashion Week franchise. Her Spanish language skills landed her a job heading the Latin division of a talent agency, booking models, on-camera and voice over actors.

Taking a break from fashion, Annie decided to move to Los Angeles to go back to school for her master’s in education at Pepperdine all while being closer to some of her family living in LA. She began teaching at some of LA’s finest private schools and nurtured that playfulness and curiosity in her that both travel and children bring to her heart. After having her son and a solid ten-year run-in education, Annie was drawn back to fashion, but this time in marketing. Annie ran her own boutique marketing agency for several years. Upon reflection, Annie realized that her desire was to help people explore the beauty of this planet, and pivoting from marketing in fashion to working as a travel advisor was the perfect shift. With a goal to bring lifelong memories into the hearts of her clients, Annie is thrilled to be partnering with Brownell. Welcome to La Fina Travel, The finest travel out there!
