About Me
Welcome, Travelers! I am the founder of The Itinerist, a bespoke travel service for discerning travelers seeking immersive, meticulously crafted experiences.
Growing up in New England, I spent my school years in Connecticut as a competitive swimmer and summers with my mother in England and France, visiting castles and gardens. I went on to study Classics and Archaeology at Bowdoin College and earned a Master’s degree at the University of Texas at Austin in Ancient Greek and Epigraphy. My career includes teaching, prestigious fellowships at The American School in Athens, and excavation projects in Italy, Israel, and Greece.
I am blessed with a beautiful family of three children (20,17, & 10) in Austin, TX, and an exceptional husband who has been a wonderful support throughout my academic and entrepreneurial career.
My deep passion for ancient Mediterranean cultures allows me to create meaningful experiences for both new and seasoned travelers. With decades of travel across the globe, I offer insights that go beyond the typical tourist spots, helping clients discover authentic, hidden gems — like that secluded beach in Crete I found by venturing off the beaten path. I am a strong advocate for sustainable and slow travel, encouraging deeper connections with local communities and cultures. By traveling thoughtfully, my clients not only enrich their own experiences but also contribute to preserving the heritage and well-being of the places they visit. I design travel the way I experience it myself — staying in boutique hotels, savoring local culinary traditions and hiking to remote discoveries that reveal a destination’s true essence. My meticulous planning ensures a seamless journey, but I also leave space for spontaneity, allowing travelers to choose their own adventure. Whether it’s a free afternoon to explore at their own pace or a half-day itinerary I’ve carefully crafted from my travels, I provide the perfect balance of structure and flexibility, creating deeply personal and enriching experiences.
Join me to see the world as you’ve always imagined!
