It feels like my career in travel started at about the age of 9 when I became enthralled with the stories of Aladdin’s 1001 Arabian nights. The adventure, mystery and exoticism transported me to places I could only imagine. And then came social studies class and I pondered, “I wonder what that young girl my age in China is doing right now on the other side of planet Earth….how are our lives the same and how are they different? These two experiences led me to make a promise to myself: I will go and see for myself. And I did. And it has been a wild, crazy, joyous and bumpy ride…but I can say that I kept my promise to myself and helped a good number of others realize their own dreams of “finding out” too. And that is profoundly satisfying and fun.
