Like Mr. Frost, Derden Lane is not just passionate about travel, but the way we travel. We believe the road you follow as you journey around the globe should be as unique as the memories, perspectives, and stories you experience. We call these roads lanes, and our mission is to help you find and cultivate your perfect travel lane. A lane which connects your travel stories to the sweeping narrative of the wider world.

Derden Lane was a long-time dream of my husband’s (Derden) and mine (Melaney, or “Lane” to Chris). Native Texans, our first real international travel was to Italy, Switzerland, and Austria for our honeymoon in 1991. We rented a car at Milan Malpense airport and hit the Italian Autostrada at the ripe age of 23, unable to read a single road sign! Our love affair with Europe was born out of that honeymoon where we learned to navigate different cultures, currencies, languages, people, food…and even a few road signs. I traveled internationally as a management consultant at Accenture for 12 years and have traveled extensively throughout Europe and the U.S. for the past 30 years. I have a deep passion for planning and researching unique destinations and experiences and for finding those unique elements to perfectly define your ideal lane of travel.

At Derden Lane, I strive to create bespoke itineraries grounded in years of travel experience and trusted local partners around the globe. It is my hope that you would lose yourself in the wonder of new discoveries, real adventures, and genuine human connections while I take care of every detail. I specialize in personalized adventure and luxury travel planning and love to entice my clients off the beaten path a bit to that “road less traveled.” I realize this requires a trusted partner who will ensure every detail is covered: flights, transfers, transportation, accommodations, tours, and unforgettable food/beverage/wellness experiences. We are a full-service concierge travel company with local connections around the globe to ensure the minutiae of your itinerary are seamlessly covered from the moment you leave home until you return safely to it.
