Rani is a born & bred New Yorker who spent her entire life in the city. After graduating from The School of Visual Arts she began her dream career as an art director at the Food Network & Cooking Channel, still in NYC. After 5 years there and her entire life living in NYC, she picked up and moved to Dhaka, Bangladesh to design textiles, then Lugo, Spain to learn Spanish, and then Gwangju, South Korea to teach English and eat everything, before returning to the U.S.

She came back determined to build a business helping others explore the world through cuisine and real connections. Cheema's Travel was born and focused on culinary travel.

Rani's mission is to inspire everyone to see & meet their world, their home, Earth. The ability to travel is a human right. "We dream about going to exotic lands like Laos, India, Nebraska... but too frequently feel held back to take these life changing adventures. I want to support travelers in their desires to explore."
