About Me
I was born in Oakland, raised in San Francisco and lived in Australia for 3 1/2 years. With family and friends Down Under, I have frequently returned to Australia, exploring New South Wales, Victoria and Queensland by car and South Australia and the Northern Territory by air. Where else in the world can you meet kangaroos, koalas, emus, echidnas, cassowaries, saltwater crocodiles, platypus and other notable Australian locals.
In 1970, I discovered the travel industry and found my life passion, first as a travel consultant, agency manager and later travel agency owner with three wonderful partners. Today, I am an independent contractor in association with the Travel Wizards family.
After traveling the world for more than 54 years, I'm often asked if I have a favorite place. It is a hard question to answer, but I'll share five of my personal favorites beginning with the letter "P", Paris, Prague, Petra, Positano and Peru.
Life is a journey and travel can be a part of that life experience. Through travel, we learn about the history and culture of the people and places we visit and in the process we learn about ourselves, thus leaving us with lasting travel experiences.
The Moroccan Explorer Ibn Battuta (1304-1369) said, "Travel offers you a hundred roads to adventure and gives your heart wings." He also said, "Travel leaves you speechless, then turns you into a storyteller." Now is the time for you to "give your heart wings" and "turn into a storyteller"!
