Melissa Kulhanjian is the passionate lifelong traveler that one would expect to see as the driving force behind one of the most successful boutique travel planners in the greater San Francisco Bay Area. Following in the footsteps of her mother, Magda Johnson, who founded Travel Wizards in 1981, Melissa now manages a company that incorporates the personal care of a traditional agency with the powerful modern technology that enables travel planning to be thoroughly researched, meticulously planned, safe, and fun.

Melissa has been an accomplished businesswoman in three different industries: diamonds and jewelry, real estate, and travel. In all three, she has experienced and promoted the remarkable application of technology to traditional businesses that has made the consumer experience easier, more economical, and ultimately more wonderful. In fine jewelry, Melissa a graduate gemologist managed the business of one of the most popular designers at Neiman Marcus while, in high-end diamonds, Melissa was the Director of a partnership of General Electric and a 120-year-old diamond cutting company that used patented GE technology to maximize the potential beauty of challenging, large, rough diamonds. In real estate, Melissa arranged the sales and purchases of commercial and residential properties, mostly in New York, occasionally investing in, renting, and selling her own acquisitions. For over 20 years at Travel Wizards, Melissa has planned individual and group vacations, cruises, and business travel all over the world.

Melissa loves what she does and knows that her team and clients appreciate her dedication and enthusiasm.

When not attending to business or traveling herself, Melissa can be found in a pilates studio, enjoying a fine restaurant, taking in a movie, or relaxing on some gorgeous beach.
