Richard is a seasoned travel expert with a passion for creating extraordinary journeys and helping travelers to get the most out of their world exploration. His career began in Bangkok, where he started in operations with a leading Asia-specialist tour operator. After five years in Thailand and traveling Asia, he moved to Dubai to work directly with clients based primarily in Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, Bahrain, and the UAE, developing his ability to manage a wide variety and scale of requests. Now based in California, Richard, under his brand Zirimiri, tailors travel experiences and assists frequent travelers with more efficiently managing their time on the road.

While he loves hotels with amazing design and service, Richard’s favorite aspect of travel is gaining an understanding of the place-- walking around town and city streets to find cool shops, squares, cafes, and stories. Curiosity and appreciation drive his ambition to consistently share new and memorable experiences.

Some of his most memorable client projects include a private tall ship journey to Shark Island in Sydney Harbour for a cultural production, an Alaskan sea and sky expedition featuring a private yacht and seaplanes, a Costa Rican wildlife expedition, and an Amazing Race-inspired birthday journey through Thailand, Cambodia, and Vietnam. Beyond leisure travel, he excels in managing complex itineraries for private and executive clients. Richard is also an accomplished travel photographer, having been published in Travel and Leisure, Lonely Planet, CNN, Hodinkee, and more.
