Driven by a deep belief in travel’s ability to enrich lives and expand perspectives as well as a passion for business management, Karen Magee has spent the past decade helping to redefine how luxury travel advisors build their businesses and create experiences for their clients.

As a change-maker and strategic thinker, Karen uses her industry expertise and business management acumen to help companies scale, working with advisors and leaders to meet challenges head-on—from generating leads to building a cohesive vision to navigating client needs in an always-changing environment.

Karen’s career in travel began on the agency side, where she worked in marketing and partner relations for Frosch Travel. In the years that followed, she held a variety of roles where she refined her skill set in relationship building, partnership strategy, and advisor support.

In 2016, she joined Tzell Travel (now the Global Travel Collection, a division of Internova) where she was promoted multiple times, starting as Director of Leisure & Hotel Services and, most recently, serving as Senior Vice President of Business Transformation as well as General Manager at In the Know Experiences.

During her tenure, she was a key player in multiple business transformations, overseeing the merging of the Tzell Travel & Protravel partner relations team as well as the acquisition, integration and subsequent growth of In the Know Experiences. Her focus was on business growth, advisor success and retention as well as the management of In the Know’s advisor community, entertainment and leisure client portfolio.

Karen’s passion for the industry is evident outside of work as well. In 2011, she co-founded Young Travel Professionals, which grew from a small group in New York City to an organization with multiple chapters around the world. She is also currently on the global advisory board at Belmond Luxury Hotels and Bulgari Hotels & Resorts. Based in the New York City suburbs, Karen loves to see the world with her husband and their daughter.
