About Me
Michigander by blood, New Yorker at heart – I have a special bond to these two places. Though life has taken me on an incredible adventure around the world that has provided me with so many unforgettable opportunities. Here’s are some highlights for you to get to know me better!
- Born and raised in Michigan
- Received Bachelor of Science Degree in Hospitality & Tourism Management with an emphasis in Meeting & Event Management from Grand Valley State University in 2014
- Worked at event management company in Alexandria, VA 2014-2015
- Worked with Starwood Hotels (now Marriott) in Detroit, MI in event management 2015-2016
- Transferred to a Marriott Times Square hotel in New York, NY to work in event management 2016-2017
- Went on my first trip abroad [by myself!] in 2016. I visited 7 countries in Europe and absolutely fell in love with travel
- Met my [now] husband while visiting Italy in 2017
- Became Lifestyle Director of luxury New York residential property 2017-2018
- Quit my job in NYC and moved to Italy to be with my [now] husband in 2018 (he’s a fighter pilot who was stationed there for the US Air Force)
- Husband proposed to me in Paris over Bastille Day in July 2018
- We got married in a small town in Italy two weeks later in August 2018
- I traveled all over Italy and Europe for the remainder of our time living in Italy
- In 2019, we moved to Las Vegas for 6 months
- I launched my travel blog, Catch the Drift
- That summer in 2019, we moved to South Korea for a year
- I traveled as much as I could around Asia and South Korea, but many of my Asia travel plans were cancelled due to the pandemic. Since South Korea travel was still mostly open, I utilized my time to really explore the country – and fell in love with it!
- Mid 2020, we moved back to Las Vegas and will be here until about 2023 before our next adventure
- Late 2020 began working on launching my own travel-focused event company, which then took a turn to solely focusing on selling travel – and Drift Destinations was born, which is now part of my blog, Catch the Drift.
With having a plethora of experience in the hospitality industry – from my education, work in events, work in hotels, and opportunities to live and travel all over the world – Drift Destinations is ready to take on the world! My expertise lies in Europe, Asia, and the United States, as well as wellness-focused travel and military travel. ‘
No matter where you want to go in the world, I’m excited to design your one-of-a-kind trip with expertise and creativity.
Where will your next adventure take you?
