I'm Jen Markus, founder of SafariSmiths Travel, based outside Pittsburgh, PA. My safari expertise is firsthand: 35 trips across 9 African countries, with deep, repeat time in South Africa and Tanzania. When I design a safari, it's built on relationships I've made and places I've stood in myself.

SafariSmiths isn't a safari-only practice, though. Most of my clients travel to Europe: multigenerational family trips through Portugal, Spain, Italy, and Croatia, and couples' escapes to Switzerland, France, England, and Ireland. That expertise comes from hands-on supplier partnerships, ongoing training, and years of client feedback about what actually works.

I've visited 50 countries across 6 continents and counting. But the real work happens between trips, staying close to the people and places that make your journey feel effortless. Whether it's your first safari or your fifth family trip to Europe, I'd love to help you plan it.
