It hit me in Marseilles. I’d walked into my first “foreign” convenience store. No one spoke English. Me? Not a word of French. Instead of feeling frustrated with six different languages chattering all around me, the sounds were music to my ears. Gestures and smiles spoke as well as, if not better than, words.

I am hooked on travel, my childhood dream. It provides endless adventures that help me connect to things outside myself. It fulfills my passions for research, learning, and finding what’s new. This profession satisfies my drive for sharing my discoveries with others—with you. Travel is in my spirit.

My special places? The lavender-and-sage infused air of Croatia is the cleanest I’ve yet breathed. The most knowledgeable (and handsome) guide ever led me through ancient history at Mt. Vesuvius. Time stops, cares evaporate, the minute you step off the plane in Hawaii (also home to my college degree). Whether Sicily, Paris, Barcelona, Belize, or the many other places I’ve traveled, each has its charm. I’d love to help you discover your special places, too!
