Bluvari was born from two ideas about water. Blu, for the ocean: vast, deliberate, full of depth. Vari, from the Sanskrit for the sea, the movement of water. Together they describe what travel should feel like: deep in intention, fluid in experience. They also describe the thing that raised me: a childhood spent moving between coasts, from San Diego to Rota, Spain to Pensacola, courtesy of a military upbringing that made travel a way of life before it became my profession.

Bluvari Travel is a boutique consultancy designing private journeys for a small number of clients each year. My clients tend to come by introduction, and they tend to stay. What they have in common is less a destination than a standard: the suite that doesn't appear online, the guide who books out a year in advance, the anniversary dinner arranged at a table that isn't on any reservation system.

Recent work has taken clients from the Amalfi Coast to Canouan Island, with safari design across Namibia and Kenya. Bluvari is an affiliate of Embark Beyond, with preferred partnerships across brands like Four Seasons, Aman, and Cheval Blanc. In practice, that means my clients are known before they arrive: the upgrade that happens without asking, the general manager who greets you by name, the request that gets a yes because of who's asking.

I live in Utah now, about as far from the ocean as I've ever been, and I've built a career on sending clients to beautiful places: coastlines, savannas, and cities I know like old friends. Wherever you're headed next, it begins with a conversation.
