About Me
The travel industry was the current that carried my family to Texas, Georgia, and then to Raleigh, North Carolina where my parents established a full service travel agency in 1989.
Travel remained a priority in the subsequent years and I was afforded opportunities to see the American West and the Bahamas, complete a brief fellowship in Japan, and lead student tours in Peru, Europe, and China.
Upon retiring after 28 years with Wake County Public Schools, I joined my father and sister in the family business. The onboard training and support provided by the Travel Experts network, combined with the day to day, side-by-side guidance by my family members has been invaluable in my professional development as an advisor.
In 2021 I helped found the Travel Sisters Network, and today I am the sole owner of that all-female travel network. I have led the network of over 500 women in travel on European river cruises, and on trips to Peru, Italy, Iceland, Greece, Morocco, Spain, Costa Rica, Croatia, Scotland, Ireland, Portugal, and many Caribbean islands. Trips in 2027 / 28 include African Safari, Switzerland and Northern Italy, Canada, and cruising the Danube.
From trip inception to minute details, my continuing travels with the network assist me in advising my regular clients. The travel industry is a quickly evolving and changing one, and I am able to stay on top of technology and trends that impact travelers in ways large and small. I can apply that knowledge when determining optimal flight schedules, analyzing tour and cruise itineraries, recommending suppliers for custom experiences, and strategically offering insurance products, among other services.
