I could make hotel-hopping an Olympic sport—I love nothing more than checking into (and sending my clients to) a luxurious hotel that’s an experience in itself. Even better if it’s paired with a world-class wine trip.

Someone once asked me to name my favorite travel moment—nearly impossible—but one memory keeps rising to the top. I was leading a group through Umbria during sunflower season. As we rode along, everyone was “oohing” and twisting to snap photos through the bus windows. Sensing the magic, our driver pulled over and gave us time to wander and play in the sun-drenched fields of gold. It was pure magic—one of those perfect travel moments you never forget.

As for my own bucket list? Istanbul had been #1… until I checked off a spectacular trip to Türkiye. Now I’m dreaming even bigger.

Someone recently asked what my favorite travel moment was, and as expected, it was so hard to come up with just one, but this one kept coming to the forefront. I was leading a group through Umbria when the sunflowers were in full bloom. Throughout the ride we “oohed” and “ached” while contorting ourselves to take photos out of the bus window. Finally, the bus driver took it upon himself to pull over and let us take photos and play in the acres and acres of sunflowers. It was truly magical.

What travel destinations are on my bucket list? Istanbul was number one, but I just traveled to the fabulous country of Türkiye. Now, I'll have to move something else to the top!
