About Me

Adventure runs in my actual bloodline. My ancestors journeyed to the North Pole and Antarctica in the early 1900s, back when those trips required something closer to survival skill than a packing list. I inherited the restlessness without the part where I have to build my own sled. I still want the unknown. I just also want a very good bed at the end of the day.

I built Besté Travel Design around a generation I understand from the inside: Gen X. The generation that grew up a little feral, unsupervised summers and landlines and figuring things out on our own, and is now navigating something nobody quite prepared us for: planning for aging parents, launching kids into the world, and trying to remember what we actually wanted before everyone else's needs got there first. That perspective shapes every itinerary I build. I am not designing trips around a generic idea of luxury. I am designing them around what this specific stage of life actually needs, which often looks different from the traditional travel advisor playbook.

That shows up in four specialties. Multigenerational travel, where I plan for three generations with three completely different sets of needs and make sure every one of them feels like the trip was built with them in mind, because it was. Culinary journeys, where the goal is never a cooking class performed for tourists but the real thing: a local market, a chef who actually cooks this way at home, a meal that could not be replicated anywhere else. Small-ship and expedition cruising, for travelers who want the access and intimacy that only comes from a vessel with eighty fellow passengers instead of three thousand. And villas and private stays, for the traveler who has outgrown hotel rooms and wants a place that feels entirely their own for the length of the trip.

What I care most about is the trip that makes you forget to check your phone. The dinner you are still talking about a year later. The thing your kids remember decades from now when they are building their own family trips and trying to recreate the feeling yours gave them.

Money comes and goes. The right trip, planned by someone who understands what this stage of your life actually calls for, stays with you. Let's build yours.
