I have visited over 100 countries on all 7 continents and all 50 states of the US. My first international experience was as a high school exchange student in Tokyo. I later worked for IBM in China, Japan, and Hong Kong. I switched to the travel industry in 1996, when I attended the International Tour Management Institute (ITMI). With their credentials I led tours and hosted cruises around the world for 5 years, with a specialty of China. In 2001, I bought Hanns Ebensten Travel from its founder, Hanns, who led the first gay tour in 1973. In 2002 I added a pioneering gay adventure travel company, Alyson Adventures. We continue to offer worldwide tours to the LGBT community and friends, and also proudly offer flights, cruises, and customized tours as a full-service travel agency.
