Born and raised in South Africa, I have traveled extensively to all continents . I studied architecture in Cape Town, before changing midstream to study Hotel Management at the Centre International de Glion in Switzerland. Also lived in Paris and Bruxelles and have spent an enormous amount of time in Europe, which is my favorite part of the the world along with Southern Africa.

I moved to the USA in 1981, working for Hyatt Hotels in Savannah GA, Winston-Salem NC and finally Boston MA. Joined Four Seasons Hotel Group in 1985 and assisted the opening management team of the first Four Seasons Hotel in Boston. I have extensive knowledge of the restaurant world as well, having operated my own on the island of Nantucket for 5 years.

Before entering the travel industry, I spent almost 2 years travelling from continent to continent between 15 and 25 days a month as an hotel consultant, analyzing and critiquing hotel operations, primarily in the super luxury divisions.

My love of aviation steered my to the Travel world, where I have been an advisor since 1994. My focus is on luxury and due to many , many contacts in the hospitality industry around the globe, I pride myself in providing exceptional attention to detail and especially in understanding the psychology of clients , their needs and catering to those specifics. Matching clients and product is what I pride myself in.

I have personally designed and escorted 2 safari trips to Southern Africa with great success and plan to do more going forward.

Fluent in French, with some basic Italian, German and a good understanding of Dutch.

Honesty, trust and respect are my 3 requirements for a successful relationship with clients and they need to be mutual. I never skirt the issue and always believe a solution is to be found for all negatives that arise, as we all know they do from time to time.
