People ask why I became a travel agent. Did I want to be that since I was child? Well, the truth is, I was in college, not knowing what I wanted to be “when I grew up”, and I sort of fell into being a travel agent. I decided on a whim to apply for a job at a really small independently owned travel agency in Edmonton, Alberta. That was in 1994, and I have never looked back. I went from this tiny agency, to another larger independent one, to a larger National one, only to go back to the independent one, Vacations Plus, where I worked for over 10 years! I moved to Victoria in 2013 to finally join my family. I worked for an another agency until late 2019, when I decided it was time to go out on my own. Be my own boss, make my own life! That is how Bradley Travel and Tours came to be.

I love helping people’s dream’s come true! People who have saved their money to go on a trip of a lifetime. Maybe they want to get married in Mexico, or see the Eiffel Tower, or drink wine in Tuscany. I love the smiles on faces when they have the most amazing plans, and their dream becomes a reality.

I have been so lucky in the past 25 years, making my own dream’s of travel a reality. I have been to many places around the world, and I love to share my stories. I have climbed the Eiffel Tower, I have floated around Venice in a gondola, I have snuggled a koala bear (and got chased by an emu). I have seen the English Countryside and the green, rolling fields of Ireland. I have seen some of the most amazing big cities of America. New York, New Orleans, San Diego, Miami, Ft. Lauderdale. I have swam with dolphins, snorkeled in the Great Barrier Reef, rode a mule up a mountain, zip-lined through the jungle, and climbed waterfalls. The adventures never end, and there are still so many places on that bucket-list.

When I am not traveling, which is rare, I spend time with my family, my dog and cat, and my friends. Animals are the other joy in my life, and if I could, I would have a farm full of them! Even in my travels, I seek out the animals. When I rode the mule up the mountain, I talked to it the whole time! I love the ocean. Whether I am swimming, kayaking, beach-combing, cruising, snorkeling or just lying under a palm tree, I am happiest by the water. After all, I am a Pisces!
