The travel bug hit me when I was in high school and first traveled alone on a study abroad trip to Tokyo. After that, I was determined to see more of Japan and the world, and after graduating college, I moved to Japan to teach English to elementary school students. During my 6 years there, I traveled extensively throughout Japan and supplemented my income with freelance travel writing. I was also able to visit numerous East and South-East Asian countries
