I’ve been helping plan dream vacations for over 30 years – and in the course of my career have narrowed my passions down to three: soft adventure, river cruising and custom planned itineraries to some of the most exotic destinations in the world.

Travelling in a small group, in the company of new-found friends, is to my mind one of the best ways to experience the world – one mile at a time. I’ve hiked the Inca trail in Peru, experienced the Mayan Trail in Guatemala and Mexico’s Yucatan Peninsula, witnessed the majesty of the Norwegian fjords from a small Hurtigruten ship, walked Italy’s famed Amalfi Coast, enjoyed unforgettable meals in Vietnam and Cambodia, stayed in Portugal’s picturesque pousadas – hotels in former castles, monasteries and palaces, smiled at my fellow travellers along the Mekong River in Laos and the Tambopata in Peru, marvelled at the wildlife of South Africa and, most recently, experienced the Galapagos Islands. As well as helping you with these destinations, I am a firm fan of European river cruising and can share many insider tips for your own river cruise.
