Now in my 53rd year in the travel business. I am a senior travel consultant for Maritime Travel Inc., a Canadian Travel Agency chain with offices across Canada coast to coast. I started as a travel consultant, then moved up to manager, then to corporate sales management, eventually 10 years into the business I bought an agency which I owned (with business partners) for 26 years. Not only was travel my career, it has also been my passion and my life. I was involved in the industry on local boards and national boards. As I enter my sunset years I am concentrating on my existing clientele and referrals from them, my business contacts and of course Virtuoso members. The agency I work for is made up of mostly senior consultants who have tenure or have owned their own travel businesses like I have. So I am not alone and am part of a strong team. Enough about me.
