An Interview With Karen Withers:

How many years have you been selling travel?

I have been in the travel business for 40 years. I have worked in Scotland for three of those years as an Travel Advisor as well.

What are your hobbies?

I love to travel and meet the locals and get to know the country I'm visiting. I love to cook and try new recipes and sample the local food where I am visiting. I also like to read books and maps.

What type of resort activities do you favor? ie water sports, lounging by the pool, etc?

I love to go to resorts with great beaches as I enjoy the ocean. I like to go out on the catamarans - as long as someone else is sailing it! I'm more of a spectator and cheer- leader when it comes to resort activities.

What are your favorite destinations?

One of my favorite southern destinations is Cuba. I love the people and the places. I would like to visit Australia and Hawaii again though. I guess I would also have to say I have a soft spot for Scotland as well!

What languages do you speak?

I speak English but can get by with some French. I have taken Spanish lessons but need to practice more.
