Michael Holland is a global travel professional and industry leader with a career spanning more than 75 countries across all seven continents. Raised in the aviation business, he began his career at sea, becoming one of the youngest Chief Pursers with Royal Caribbean International, where he managed multimillion-dollar onboard operations and served as a liaison for international, high-profile, and diplomatic clientele.

Following his time at sea, Michael recognized the emerging potential of the cruise industry and founded a specialized cruise division of Holland Travel. As an early pioneer of the cruise-only agency model in the United States, he launched his first office in Illinois, quickly gaining recognition from major cruise lines and becoming a top-producing sales agent. His work has spanned individual travelers, families, luxury clients, and large-scale group programs, including sailings of more than 150 guests, ranging from short itineraries to full world cruises.

Today, Michael leads Holland Travel, LLC, specializing in curated luxury travel experiences, including yacht charters, cruises, and bespoke international journeys. He remains actively involved on a daily basis, working closely with a nationwide network of advisors and sales teams across the United States to deliver highly personalized service.

Michael and his business partner, Ramuncho “Ray” Carême, divide their time between Puerto Vallarta and Sausalito, California, while continuing to travel globally, frequently hosting Virtuoso voyages and leading curated travel experiences with privileged access to some of the world’s most exclusive destinations and events.

Having begun his career in an era before mobile phones and internet connectivity, Michael developed a disciplined, hands-on approach to business. Today, he operates with a modern, global mindset—demonstrating that work can be conducted seamlessly from anywhere in the world. Often asked how he is able to travel extensively while remaining highly responsive to clients, he explains that this is precisely how he conducts his business today.

In addition to his work in travel, Michael has been involved in select international real estate transactions, including a luxury residence in Paris’ Marais district.
