A hotelier by trade and raised in the Netherlands, I lived in Macau, Hong Kong, Paris, the Caribbean. My role for a luxury hotel company took me to Asia, Australia, Europe, South America before settling in Chicago.

There I opened the leisure travel agency that became Q Cruise + Travel.

• Western Europe is still my "home"
• Asia and Australia: I lived in Asia, and am a certified Aussie Specialist
• Great hotels & resorts: as a hotelier, I love historical grand dames and modern boutique hotels
• Tahiti, Bora Bora, Moorea: picture perfect tropical islands
• Travel in comfort: business, first class airlines, lounges, seats
