As a travel adviser since 1983, I have had the privilege of diving the Great Barrier Reef and the Coral Sea, snorkeling among thousands of jellyfish in the remote Jellyfish Lake of Palau, photographing the pristine reefs of French Polynesia and feeling the exhilaration of a bone fish running with a fly along the flats of the Bahamas.  While the "island life" is where my heart lies, I also love the history and charm of Rome, London and Paris and the smells and tastes of Tuscany and Umbria.  I enjoy going a little more "off the beaten path" and discovering a secluded beach in the Out Islands of the Bahamas or sailing thru Sir Francis Drake Channel in the British Virgin Islands.  Travel should stir one's soul, not one's blood pressure!
