Meet Chuck Searcy, who first came to Vietnam in 1967 as a U.S. army intelligence analyst during the Vietnam War, but has since been awarded the Friendship Medal by the Vietnamese government for his contribution to post-war recovery efforts. The legacies of war continue to affect Vietnam, even today, some forty years after the end of the conflict. Be inspired by Chuck’s personal journey as you listen to his accounts of the war and learn about his role in establishing project RENEW, which helps clear unexploded ordnance's and provides support for families who still struggle with illness and disease as a result of the war.
