Upon arrival in Santiago, you will be met by a local representative who will assist you on a private transfer to your hotel. This intriguing addition to Santiago’s vibrant Lastarria district features a slightly eclectic mix of design. The overall atmosphere is understated and classic; the restaurant area features design elements of both a gentleman’s club and also a Hong Kong speakeasy. Step outside the hotel and you find yourself in Lastarria, brimming with lively cafés and a cosmopolitan air. This is an excellent choice to explore the older sights of the city. This afternoon enjoy a walking tour around the city. This walking tour starts with a short vehicle transfer to put us right in front of the presidential palace, from where we’ll pause in front of the historical yet still relevant Court of Justice, National Congress and former Customs (now the Pre-Colombian Art Museum) to reach the Plaza de Armas. As the heart of the city, dating back to the Spanish conquerors, this is where you’ll find the Cathedral, City Hall, Central Post Office and National Historical Museum. In the plaza you’ll see artists at work, various chess games and possibly a dance performance. Continue to Lastarria neighborhood to explore by foot this peaceful area of the city. Your visit will end today at the top of the Sky Costanera, the tallest building in South America with 300 meters high and an impressive 360º view of the metropolis. Return to your hotel. In the evening we invite you the Be-myguest” experience in Santiago. The curiosity to know other countries and cultures is one of the motivations when traveling outside. Motivated by this common interest, we would like to invite you to enter our culture through the kitchen of a Chilean home, where the hostess, who is a cook & art lover, will delight you with her preparations based on local products of the station. A true experience as you will have the opportunity to meet Chileans and other travelers. |
