Johannesburg is one of Africa’s biggest and most vibrant cities. It is the economic capital of Africa and the gateway to Southern Africa. Although not as famous as other South African destinations, there is plenty to do in Johannesburg and nearby Pretoria. The old city is a multi-cultural mixture of traditional medicine shops, Chinese restaurants, taxi ranks and ultra-modern skyscrapers. There are excellent museums, art galleries and organised tours of historical and political interest. The shopping is Southern Africa’s best and the many restaurants cater for all tastes. The nearby township of Soweto is Johannesburg’s most popular tourist attraction.

The Kwando-Linyanti river system is home to a series of private game reserves, known for their exotic animal species and luxury safari options. An abundance of wildlife roams freely between the woodland habitats, ancient floodplains and forests that make up these lush, unfenced reserves. The big game in this area increases dramatically during the dry season when the area hosts large herds of impala, blue wildebeest, giraffe and buffalo as well as the world’s highest density of elephant. Several packs of wild dog are found in the area and lion, leopard and cheetah are frequently sighted. Night drives allow for the discovery of nocturnal creatures such as civets, genets, honey badgers and spring hares. This vast, untamed wilderness is the perfect location for those seeking a unique African adventure in an exclusive and remote big game habitat.

Situated in the east of the Okavango Delta, Moremi Game Reserve ranks as one of the most beautiful reserves in Africa. It covers more than 4871 square kilometres of pristine wilderness, and the varied terrain includes savannah, winding waterways, and dense forest. This diverse ecosystem supports an incredibly wide spectrum of wildlife, ranging from large herds of buffalo, wildebeest and zebra, to the rare sitatunga and lechwe antelope, lion, cheetah and packs of wild dog in the open grasslands. The birdlife is prolific and includes most of the 550 bird species recorded on Botswana’s national bird list. A range of luxury lodges in the reserve offers visitors the perfect base to experience this corner of paradise.

Victoria Falls is one of the world’s most impressive waterfalls. It is set on the magnificent Zambezi River which creates the border between Zambia and Zimbabwe. These spectacular falls can be easily visited and viewed from the Zimbabwean side. Considered to be the world’s widest waterfalls, Victoria Falls measures 1708 metres in width. The small town of Victoria Falls, which lies adjacent to the waterfalls, serves as a great base from which to explore the attractions this area of Zimbabwe has to offer. The surrounding area provides a wide range of adrenalin-filled activities for adventure lovers. Visitors can look forward to an array of wonderful activities including: scenic flights, micro lighting, white water rafting, bungee jumping, kayaking and trips to the Chobe National Park.

Adjacent to the Kruger National Park, the Sabi Sand Private Game Reserve is a private premier viewing destination. It was the first-ever private nature reserve established in South Africa. The landscape features 65 000 hectares of savannah-covered land interspersed with watering holes, dry river beds, Lowveld woodlands, and the perennial Sabi and Sand rivers. This spectacular reserve offers exceptional game viewing opportunities with frequent sightings of the renowned Big Five as well as cheetah, zebra, giraffe, and a variety of antelope. Visitors can enjoy excellent wildlife viewing, dining under the stars, guided bush walks and enjoying a stay in some of South Africa’s most luxurious safari lodges.

Product Terms & Conditions

CONFIRMED BOOKINGS

Once a booking has been confirmed to us, we will change the booking’s status from “provisional” to “confirmed” on condition that you have secured the specified non-refundable deposit from your guests. The standard amount is 20% of the total land arrangement costs but this amount can vary depending on certain terms and conditions or party size. Please contact your journey specialist for details and please do NOT confirm a booking unless you have this non-refundable deposit, as you will become liable for cancellation fees if the booking does not materialize. In some parts of the world it has been customary for the guest to pay a nominal deposit for a holiday, with a small penalty if they cancel. Wilderness camps are relatively small making the fixed running costs and resultant break- even occupancies extremely sensitive. The cancellation of a mere two guests can put the camp into a loss situation and therefore we cannot accept bookings made with a nominal deposit, nor can we afford lenient cancellation terms. Please ensure that you have the required non-refundable deposit from your guests before a booking is confirmed with us. We urge you to review the booking conditions between your company and your guests. We believe that guests who are firmly committed to travelling and are covered by full travel insurance in the event that they cancel for insurable reasons e.g. medical problems, should have no problems in committing to this non-refundable deposit

PAYMENTS

Full payment from the guest is due eight weeks prior to arrival, after which our cancellation fees escalate in accordance with our cancellation policy.

CANCELLATIONS OF FIT BOOKINGS

Cancellation fees are levied when guests cancel confirmed reservations. The costs of the cancellation fees will escalate the closer the guests, cancels to their confirmed departure date. Our penalties escalate from forfeiting the deposit to payment in full as follows:

• If a cancellation is made more than 8 weeks before departure the non-refundable deposit is forfeited.

• If a cancellation is made between 4 weeks and 8 weeks, the deposit plus 25% of the price.

• If a guest cancels between 3 and 4 weeks prior to departure, 50% of the price.

• If a guest cancels between 2 and 3 weeks prior to departure, 60% of the price.

• If a guest cancels less than two weeks prior to departure, the 100% of the price.

Groups and Incentives have a different cancellation fee policy. This is available at time of quoting.
