Surrounded by stunning hilltop town and woodlands, the northern region of Piedmont hides a treasure waiting to be found and dug out of the soil. A treasure growing underground, close to the roots of oak, hazel, poplar and beech trees, impossible to reproduce. The smell may be not the most agreeable but the taste is definitely sublime.

Head for a luxury hunt in the forest together with a professional truffle-hunter and his dog, an inseparable team which will go the best route to find the precious fungi and give you interesting insights on the way about techniques and traditions related to the truffle-hunt.

Different types of truffle can be found in the area: the most common are several varieties of the black truffle, generally harvested between January and November. The sought after tuber magnatum – the white truffle, larger and with an more intense flavor – is instead only in season September through early January.

It is definitely exciting to see a fresh truffle emerge from the ground but the most enticing part of the experience will be trying some local dishes prepared with the tuber just dug out during the tour.
