Itinerary

Day 1
Ljubljana, Slovenia

Welcome to Slovenia. Your transfer will meet you at the the airport and transfer you to your hotel in the capital od Slovenia, Ljubljana.

Check in at a centrally located hotel.

Meet your private tour guide and begin your tour of Ljubljana with an old town walk. Your first stop is Ljubljana's open market that continues through the historical city center well known for its unique architectural appearance. The architecture is a result of the Baroque and Art Nouveau periods, and most notably, the work of the famous 20th century architect Jože Plečnik.

No trip to Ljubljana is complete without taking a water-based tour. The handmade wooden boat operated by the young team at Laker Craft is easily the most attractive of all the crafts plying the waters of the Ljubljanica. A ride lasts just under an hour and offers views of the Old Town's major sights from a unique vantage point.

You will get the best view and pictures from Ljubljana castle, your next stop. At the end of the tour your table is ready at the castle restaurant for Taste Ljubljana culinary experience.

Day 2
Bled, Slovenia

After breakfast and a short drive, you will arrive to magnificent Bohinj valley. The area around Lake Bohinj features a wonderful mixture of mountains, water and forests. This magnificent “Kingdom of Zlatorog” will make your heart leap in every season of the year. On the south side, Lake Bohinj is enclosed by the Lower Bohinj Mountains, which rise to 2.000 meters, and on the north by the Triglav mountain range with Mount Triglav, Slovenia’s highest mountalin (2864 m). You will ride with a cable car to mount Vogel, where local homemade delicacies are ready for you.

Next stop is lake Bled, where you will board traditional Pletna boat and ring a wishing bell in the church on the island. At the end of the day, you will visit the mighty Bled castle which offers the finest views of Bled island, the town of Bled and the wider countryside of Upper Carniola region.

Drive back to Ljubljana for the last night of your Slovenian Fairytale.

Day 3
Piran, Slovenia

Lipica, Slovenia

After a delicious breakfast your tour guide will meet you in the lobby and take you to the Karst region.

Your first stop is Lipica Stude farm. The charms of the Lipica Stud Farm are hidden in the stories written by the local history. Only when walking on the historical paths we can truly experience the greatness of the local equestrian tradition. During your visit your private tour guide will take you on the journey of the history of Lipca and Lipizzan horses. Create beautiful moments while taking a carriage ride through the estate for truly unique experience. The local culinary team at the estate will prepare a picnic with local dishes paired with excellent Krast wines and lavender lemonade. Prepare to feel the embrace of the beautiful Karst nature with the sweet fragrance of meadow plants and hay while surrounded by hundred-year-old oak trees.

You will proceed with a tour of the medieval coastal town of Piran. Explore an old, picturesque port town on the Adriatic, that lies at the end of the Piran peninsula. Your private guide will take you through the town that has preserved the medieval layout with narrow streets and compact houses, as well as grander buildings dating back to its golden age as part of the Venetian Republic. Rise in steps from the coastal lowland into the hills and discover a typical Mediterranean view.

Day 4
Dobrovo V Brdih, Slovenia

After breakfast you will join your private tour guide who will lead you to Goriška Brda Wine Region.

Goriška Brda region is the most western part of Slovenia, known for rich cultural heritage that has intertwined over the centuries. Cultivated landscapes, typical architectures of villages and castles as well as numerous ethnological attractions, customs, habits and a distinctive dialect has kept the area unique.

This tour has been tailor-made especially for you, with a private guide. Begin with the view tower of Gonjače to get the overview of the region and then head to the nearby village of Šmartno. The tour will end at Dobrovo castle, where you have an option to get electrical bikes or scooters for a ride up and down hills and vineyards.

Farm to Table Lunch will be served at a local restaurant before you continue your day at a local wine cellar.

Sample different varieties of wines from red, white or sparkling all from the boutique wine producers. The tasting takes place in a wine cellar or tasting room. It is led by a professional sommelier or winemaker who shares their story about how they make wine and the history of their vineyard.
