The Best Catalonian Wines (4 days)

Meet your English-speaking driver in the hotel lobby and depart for the Priorat wine growing region. Located just a 2 hours’ drive from Barcelona, it is the perfect escape for any wine maven.

On your way to the Priorat you will pass by another famous Catalonian wine region, The Penedès. The Penedès has long been associated with innovative vineyards and wineries. Stop at one of our favorite wineries in the Penedes for an introduction to Spanish Cava. Visit a family owned winery and learn to distinguish the different types of cavas and make your own bottles.

After your winery visit continue with your driver to the Priorat.

Arrive at the Terra Dominicata Hotel & Winery, a brand-new winery/hotel, converted from a monastery, nestled in the mountains of Priorat.

Meet your expert wine guide and driver in the hotel lobby for your day of exploration in the Priorat.

Begin your day with a stroll through the ruins of the Carthusian Monastery in Scala Dei. Here you will learn about the origin of wine in the region

Continue with an exclusive visit to the Scala Dei winery, one of the most historic wineries in the region.

Have lunch at one of our favourite local restaurants. Lunch will consist of a tasting of 5 excellent dishes, each accompanied by an appropriate Priorat wine, a delight to the eye, the nose and the palate.

After lunch continue with your guide and driver to Siurana: one of the most spectacular places in Priorat. Stroll around this picturesque cliff-top village. See its Romanesque church and lovely stone buildings. Siurana was the last Moorish stronghold in what is now known as Catalonia.

Meet your Expert wine guide and driver in the hotel lobby for your second day of exploration in the Priorat.

Begin your day at one of the best internationally known wineries of the region. This winery is one of the first to recover the wines of the Priorat region in the late seventies. Among their products are some of Priorat´s famous “licorella” red wines as well as white and dessert wines. Your private visit will be followed by a special tasting.

After your visit continue to the next winery for a private visit.

The visit will be followed by a very special activity with a Gastro Botanist specialist, that has dedicated his career to providing truffles and plants to top chefs. Enjoy a wine pairing with Mediterranean wild flowers found in the surrounding area in Priorat.

Have lunch at one of our favourite local restaurants before returning with your driver to the hotel.

Spend the afternoon relaxing at the hotel or walking through the beautiful country side.

Meet your English speaking driver in the hotel lobby. Before returning to Barcelona you will spend the day in the Penedes Wine growing region.

Visit one of our favorite wineries in the region known for its hearty reds.

After your visit continue for lunch at the private restaurant owned by Torres. A great family that has dedicated over 5 generations to wine. Have lunch in a spectacular venue, in a traditional Catalan country house dating back to the 14th century that the Torres family has restored, maintaining its cheery rooms and adding a bright, modern kitchen and a dining hall. Your lunch will be accompanied by Torres wines.

After lunch return with your driver to Barcelona.
