Day 2 Reykjavik/Akureyri: Eyjafjörður is a scenic spot to enjoy the local wildlife and small villages in the area. Additional Notes: If you have pre-booked whale watching, you will be going on the excursion this evening. Transport: Private Vehicle

Day 3 Akureyri/Bakkagerdi: Head to Mývatn Lake, stopping en route at Goðafoss Waterfall. In Mývatn, explore lava formations of Dimmuborgir and the geothermal area of Námaskarð. Visit Dettifoss Waterfall, one of the most powerful waterfalls in Europe. Reach Borgarfjörður in the East Fjords region for a night in a local guesthouse. Included Activities: Godafoss Waterfall Visit Myvatn Geothermal Lake Visit Dimmuborgir Lava Fields Visit Námaskarð Visit Dettifoss Waterfall Visit Transport: Private Vehicle

Day 4 Bakkagerdi/Hofn: Höfn is known as the lobster capital of Iceland, so include a sample of this delicacy in your plans. Transport: Private Vehicle

Day 5 Hofn/Vik: Marvel at the Jökulsárlón Glacier Lagoon, with a chance to see seals sun bathing on the bright blue ice. The massive icebergs floating towards shore tower over visitors. Opt to check out the lagoon by boat. Continue on to Skaftafell National Park with time to explore before continuing on in the evening to the small town of Vík. Additional Notes: If you have pre-booked glacier hiking, you will be hiking today. Included Activities: Jökulsárlón Glacier Lagoon Visit Transport: Private Vehicle

Vik/Reykjavik

Day 6 Vik/Reykjavik: Just outside of Vík, visit Reynisfjara Beach. Its black sand and ominous rock formations offshore make for stunning photos. Continue to travel along the Golden Circle to Drumbo. Stop at Seljalandsfoss Waterfall for the opportunity to walk behind the large falls. Stop at Skógafoss Waterfall. Explore the majestic Gullfoss Waterfall, Geysir Hot Springs and Þingvellir National Park. Arrive to Reykjavík in the early evening for a final night in the bustling capital. Included Activities: Reynisfjara Beach Seljalandsfoss Waterfall Visit Skógafoss Waterfall Visit Gullfoss Waterfall Visit Geysir Visit Thingvellir National Park Visit Transport: Private Vehicle

G Adventures combines the best cultural, scenic, culinary, and social experiences into one trip that leaves you feeling humbled, grateful, appreciative, and eager for more. I never thought that I would be find myself walking along the streets of the West Bank. Whether it was visiting a Palestinian refuge camp in Bethlehem, negotiating with a restaurant owner to get us seated in Old Jerusalem, or finding us a place for dinner in Nazareth, Naz made everything go smoothly because of his relationships with people in the community and his ability to make us feel accepted in whichever community we found ourselves.
