Description

9:00am: we welcome you at our delightful location in the heart of the Latin Quarter with croissants, coffee and tea.

We then head to a local market to buy Fresh produce, and learn a ton about French Market Culture, French cheeses (while eating some…) and the neighborhood on the way.

10:30am: We are back at Le Foodist for our hands-on cooking class.

For 2.5 hours, we learn basic and advanced French cooking techniques through the process of creating a three-course meal. We might get to drink a glass or two in the process.

1:00pm: Time for lunch! To which we add white wine, red wine and cheese, of course!

During lunch, your host will share stories on each of the dishes to help illustrate various aspects of French culture: a bit of history, a touch of sociology, tongue in cheek humour, and quite a bit of gastronomy as one might expect…we are told this is quite unique in Paris.

3:00pm: Culinary experience concludes.

Cannot Praise Lafayette Travel enough in under 1000 characters!!

The appreciation and praise I have for our experience with Lafayette on a recent trip to Paris cannot be effectively be told in under 1000 characters. Lafayette, it's drivers, guides, reservation assistance, etc. made our stay in Paris the high point of a recent trip there after a great visit to London for touring and a family wedding. We arrived via the Eurostar chunnel train, which was an exciting way to start the visit. At Gare du Nord, we were met by our driver, and promptly taken to the Reniassance Arc de Triomphe (great hotel, greater view of the Arc!). Our tour guides, Valerie and Isabelle, were far better than I could've ever expected-pleasant, knowledgeable, and generally fun to be around. Our driver, William was pleasant, efficient and always on time both for in town activities or airport transfer. Our consultant with Lafayette, Francois Gallon, was very efficient and helpful in planning what was an itinerary packed with activity both day and night. Thanks to all!

Lafayette Travel Tours made the countryside of France a wonderful experience. The cars were very comfortable and the tour guides knowledgeable. We were able to see sights to behold and the architectures that Europe and especially France is known for. We would highly recommend their services.

Private tour of Versailles w pinic. If I only had $1300 left in the whole world Id buy this tour again. Eric was informative but not lurking. Pinic was lavish on the water!! Do it !! You'll agree when your soaking your feet from seeing the entire palace in 9 hours. Minus the 2 hour picnic wine nap ;).

Paris in a Nutshell

By: Laura J

Lafayette Travel working with Marian Blessing arranged a wonderful trip for us in Paris. Our driver and tour director for two days Frederic was fantastic. We spent the 2 days touring exactly what we wanted to see including the Louvre and learning French architecture, history, and art. The dinner cruise on the third day was wonderful. Unfortunately, I broke my foot that night on the cruise. I was unable to participate in the last day's events at the Eiffel Tower. I highly recommend using Lafayette Travel in France to help arrange your plans. They are extremely good at arranging tours that are informative, comfortable (Lexus), and contain exactly what you want.
