Day 3
Lima, Peru
Paracas, Peru
Paracas Luxury Collection Hotel Breakfast

A transportation service will pick you up from your hotel at the established time and will start en route to Paracas City, located four hours South of Lima.

Upon arrival to Paracas, you will be transferred to your hotel in Paracas.

At afternoon, enjoy a unique ride through one of the driest deserts in the world, aboard a comfortable 4X4 van, prepared especially for this type of routes and led by one of our experts. Enjoy a tour full of emotion and adrenaline, and the views of the spectacular dunes of Paracas.

Optional: BALLESTAS ISLANDS YACHT TOUR

Discover the Ballestas Islands, home to peculiar and diverse coastal fauna. This two-hour journey takes us around several small islands while hearing location cries from sea lions, spotting Humboldt penguins and a wide variety of guano birds. On the way to the islands you will be able to appreciate the magnificence of the “Candelabro” (the Candlestick), an enormous and mysterious geoglyph carved on the desert soil, making this a morning of archeological and natural history discovery.

Day 4
Lima, Peru
Paracas, Peru
Belmond Miraflores Park Breakfast

In the morning you will experience the best way to tour the bay aboard kayaks that are small boats for one or two people. They do not make noise or contaminate the ocean and after this experience you will have an incredible sense of accomplishment once you see everything that Paracas has to offer. No previous experience or special physical condition is required.

Afternoon at leisure to relax at your hotel, stroll around the city or join this optional tour listed below:

Optional: Overflight to Nazca Lines

You will be transferred to the local airport to fly over the Nazca Desert. Face one of the world's greatest mysteries while overflying the Nazca Lines. The town, settled besides a small river crossing the desolate plain of San Jose, passed unnoticed until commercial airlines began crossing the desert during the late 1920's. Scientist's attention was immediately drawn to Nazca but the mystery remains unsolved. What exact purpose did they meet? We don't quite know. The truth is they depict coastal, highland and jungle fauna (whale, hummingbird, monkey, and spider) as well as geometric figures (lines, trapeze, and triangle). Thereafter, weather and air-traffic controllers permitting, fly above the figured-scrapped hills of Palpa. The Palpa Lines are believed to predate those of Nazca, picturing animals and human figures and a prominent deity. The Nazca culture flourished between 50 B.C. and 600 A.D, studies suggesting their society suffered an environmental collapse derived from huarango deforestation. After the overflight, we will transfer you back to the Paracas hotel.

You will be transferred to Lima City and your hotel in the evening.

Day 5
Lima, Peru
Cuzco, Peru
Inkaterra Hacienda Urubamba Breakfast, Lunch

In the morning you will be transferred to the Lima airport to board the local flight to Cusco.

Flight to Cusco *flights are not included in package*

Upon arrival, a transportation service and a representative will pick you up at Cusco´s airport and will transfer you to your selected hotel at the Sacred Valley.

At your arrival to the hotel in Sacred Valley, you will enjoy lunch and be assisted with the check-in and accommodation.

Day 6
Sacred Valley, Peru
Sky Lodge Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner

Early morning departure from your hotel in Urubamba to drive to the locality of Pachar, located 8 kms. from Ollantaytambo, where you will find the Via Ferrata, a climbing route 300 meters high. Here you will have the opportunity to climb a mountain with a safety system permanently installed, for which you do not require any previous experience. While climbing, enjoy the mystical landscapes of the Sacred Valley of the Incas. Upon completing the ascent, enjoy an energizing snack while you admire the spectacular scenery and recover your energies. Then climb 100 more mts. until you reach the second cable of the canopy or zip-line, which will allow you to fly over the beautiful landscapes of the Sacred Valley of the Incas, in a very safe and fun way. The canopy or zip-line, also called flying fox, zip wire, death slide, or aerial runway, is an unforgettable experience. Through a pulley suspended by 6 cables of 100 to 500 m (with a total of 2000 m), located in an inclination, you hook the cable through a pulley fixed to your harness and you will be impulsed by gravity, sliding from the top to the bottom, increasingly losing speed as you approach the end of the cable.

Day 7
Ollantaytambo, Peru
Inkaterra Machu Picchu Pueblo Hotel Breakfast, Dinner

You will be picked up from your hotel (Sky Lodge) at the Sacred Valley and transferred to Ollantaytambo Park stopping at various points of interest along the route. Ollantaytambo is a typical example of the urban planning of the Incas, whose residents still live in accordance with their old traditions. Pachacútec (1438-1471) conquered the town, destroyed it and built a new one, absorbing it as part of his empire, and it is now considered one of the most remarkable archaeological complexes of the Inca Empire. Then you will be transferred you to the Ollantaytambo train station.

Your trip to Machu Picchu will start your trip by Vistadome train to Aguas Calientes, which takes about two hours. This town is also known as "Machu Picchu Pueblo" and it is the last stop before the entry to the vestiges of Peru's top archaeological complex. Aguas Calientes has a train station, a craft market, restaurants and different categories of accommodations for those who prefer to spend the night at the foot of the mountain and ascend in the early morning. Overnight at Aguas Calientes at one of the best hotels in town.

Day 8
Cuzco, Peru
Aguas Calientes, Peru
Machu Picchu, Peru
Belmond Hotel Monasterio Breakfast, Lunch

Wake up early to see the sunrise at Machu Picchu, a once life-time experience.

You'll take a 30-minute shuttle-bus ride to Machu Picchu, the "Lost City of the Incas". The ruins are located in a lush jungle and are believed to have been built in the mid-15th century by Inca Pachacutec. Lost in history, it was not discovered until 1911 by the American explorer Hiram Bingham. With your private guide, enjoy a guided tour of the fabled ruins.

Now recognized as a member of the new 7 Wonders of the World, Machu Picchu is a marvelous and famous citadel which combines the visual and spiritual force of magnificent natural scenery with the natural diversity of a historic sanctuary. Machu Picchu is recognized as a Cultural and Natural Patrimony of the World which rises to an altitude of 7,900 feet above sea level between the Huayna Picchu (young peak) and Machu Picchu (old peak). It lies within the spectacular framework provided by the exuberant vegetation of nearby jungle and the rugged landscape. The ruins are situated on the eastern slope of Machu Picchu Mountain in two separate areas – agricultural and urban. The latter includes the civil sector (dwellings, canalizations) and the sacred sector (temples, mausoleums, squares, royal houses). Although the constructions show different levels of architecture, the religious buildings exhibit a high degree of perfection. The construction was generally in stone and the roofs were built of tree trunks and thatched with ichu or straw. The walls lean slightly inward to protect against earthquakes.

Enjoy a delicious lunch at Cafe Inkaterra. Later take the bus down to Aguas Calientes and walk to train station for your return to the Ollantaytambo station aboard the Vistadome train service. We will provide assistance on arrival and will transfer you to your hotel in Cusco city.

Day 9
Cuzco, Peru
Belmond Hotel Monasterio Breakfast, Lunch

You will have the morning at leisure to stroll the city and some time for shopping.

At afternoon, you will experience a unique culinary experience overlooking the city´s stunning historic downtown from the 11th floor at Rooftop Kitchen. The kitchen is equipped with modern utensils and contains individual kitchen stations where guests will learn to prepare typical Peruvian dishes with the freshest regional ingredients, experiencing a new way of knowing the incredible history and culinary tradition of Peru. Rooftop Kitchen offers cooking classes for lunch and dinner including pick-up from the hotel and a guided tour through the traditional San Pedro market where the class purchases will be made. You will begin with the preparation of Pisco sour and will continue with the elaboration of the first dish based on fish. Continue with the preparation of the main dish: Lomo Saltado. A magnificent opportunity to know the country through its flavors while enjoying the wonderful view of the Imperial City.

Just returned from our Peru adventure designed by Nora. Excellent trip by all accounts! We began in Lima where we received a very informative tour with Jenny which ended in one of our best meals (and our first Pisco Sour!) Onward to Cusco where we were met by 2 wonderful gentlemen both named Juan, our tour guide and his driver, who remained with us for the rest of our trip. We spent 3 wonderful days in Urubamba in wonderful accommodations. Here we had excellent tours and 2 excellent meals which were pre-arranged . Then on to Machu Pichu which was both incredible and challenging! Juan, our guide, was with us throughout. We found him to be well educated regarding his country and his culture, he was always thoughtful, informative, flexible, and above all reliable. We finished in Cusco at an amazing hotel. Every meal arranged by Nora was superior and our guides (especially Juan) made our trip tremendous. All accommodations were exceptional! Perfectly arranged trip!

In all fairness, we had 6 hours between flights and elected to take advantage by touring Lima. Our guide was young and relatively inexperienced. It was obvious from his tour that most of his comments were memorized from books and as such came across as "canned presentations". Had -rebooked dinner as part of the tour. We cancelled for two reasons...too tired and questionable as to the allotted amount of time for dinner and return to the airport given the traffic.

Great arrangements and guides

We spent a week in Cusco/Sacred Valley/Machu Picchu. Our hotels were fantastic and all arrangements were great. Our guide Kol and driver Joel were very pleasant and knowledgeable. In spite of strikes and delays along the way on multiple days, they were always on time and helped us manage our time so that we could see everything we would have liked to. Great arrangements all around.

Excellent tour operator. The guides and planning completed by Lima Tours was outstanding. They were able to accommodate our requests and fully fulfilled their tour obligations as presented. They were also able to make a change when one of our travelers became ill. I would not hesitate tin recommending Lima Tours to anyone. Only one small hurdle was due to a internal flight delay they did not have a person to greet/meet us in Cuzco to take us to our hotel. Fairly insignificant on a 21 day jam packed private vacation.

We had the opportunity to use the services provided by Lima Tours on our vacation to Peru. From the time we landed in Lima to the time we left, Lima Tours went above and beyond our every expectation. The highlight of our trip was the Inca trail , and being on a hike for 4 days and camping out, you definitely want someone that knows what they are doing and able to work with you. All the staff - porters, guides, drivers were very professional and enthusiastic about their jobs. We had booked a private Tours throughout the trip and were never disappointed. I would highly recommend booking your trip with Lima Tours
