Description

We visit Duxford Aircraft Museum

During WWII Duxford was one of the most important air bases in Britain, and planes flying from here played a major role in the Battle of Britain. Today Duxford houses the largest collection of historic aircraft in Europe, ranging from WWI vintage biplanes to Spitfires, Concorde and Gulf War jets.

The collection of planes is augmented by several special exhibits, including The American Air Museum, which boasts the largest collection of US aircraft outside America. There is also a British Aircraft Collection, Battle of Britain Exhibition, Naval Collection, Royal Anglian Regiment Museum, and tanks, trucks and artillery in the Land Warfare Hall. Finally, 'The Forgotten War' Exhibition looks at WWII in the Far East, with special attention on the war in Burma.

Visit The American Cemetery Cambridge

The Cambridge American Cemetery and Memorial site in England, 30.5 acres in total, was donated by the University of Cambridge. It lies on a slope with the west and south sides framed by woodland. Rosettes mark the names of those since recovered and identified. Most died in the Battle of the Atlantic or in the strategic air bombardment of northwest Europe.

Not as Good as Last Time

Sincerely Paul did an acceptable job but there were a couple of issues. First they couldn't get our luggage in the luggage compartment to store it so we had it in the mini-bus with us for the 1 hr and 45 minute drive. My daughter was a bit cramped by it. The Guide we had for the Oxford/Cotswold tour only did Oxford, not Cotswolds at all. The Guide we had for The British Museum although competent was not very friendly. So, I'd say they were adequate but for their fees I expect to be wowed!

Great tours.

THe tours of Westminster Abbey was great. The guide did well in pointing out many things of the Abbey, while making sure that we had no stress. Tower of London was great with the Crown Jewels. He kept us moving (as I tend to read everything). The only thing was he discouraged us from going into the Blood Tower (he could have been right). The new guide for Bath and castle cour was great. The kid's loved the history and the neat town of Bath. We visited 2 towns following Bath, bt only spent limited time there. We didn't get out of the car at Castle Cour. I think the guide wanted to beat traffic. I didn't know what to do for lunch, whether it was planned or not. We bought the guide's lunch (needs to be explained). Covent Gardens was neat, it was the only place we revisited. Very informed guides, make sure the people really want to lean and be patient.

Chauffeur Extraordinaire!!

My husband and I went on a 37 day European adventure this May/June and our itinerary began and ended in London. We used the chauffeur services of Sincerely Paul twice: The first time, a driver picked us up from our hotel in central London (he arrived early!) and took us to London St. Pancras to catch a Eurostar train to Paris. This was our first trip abroad, and he was so helpful in giving us clear-cut directions on how to navigate the train station. Five weeks later, imagine our surprise when 1. the very same driver met us at our hotel (early again!) for the drive to London's Heathrow airport/ flight back to the states and 2. he remembered us! Our driver acted like an old friend, asking about our trip highlights! Highly recommend Sincerely Paul personal concierge!

First of all, the drivers were really cute with lots of sparkle and personality. YES, it was an extravagance on our part but we'll worth it. We had no worries or anxiety thanks to these skillful, knowledgeable and friendly men. Their driving was superb. And, I will definitely book through them again.

Efficient service

We had an agent meet us immediately after leaving the plane and took us through customs and immigration. She then handed us off to a driver who took us to Buckland Manor, approximately 2 hours away. At the end of our trip a driver picked us up at Cliveden and took us to Heathrow Airport. Everyone was pleasant, on time, and efficient. Overall excellent service.
