Day 1 Kota Kinabalu: There are no activities planned until an evening welcome meeting. Included Activities: Arrival Day and Welcome Meeting
Day 2
Kota Kinabalu/Gunung Mulu National Park

Day 2 Kota Kinabalu/Gunung Mulu National Park: Upon arrival in Miri, you will disembark from the plane with the group, retrieve your luggage, and pass it on to our ground operator so it can be transferred to Limbang. You will then go through passport control at Miri airport and board the flight to Mulu. Additional Notes: After leaving your luggage with our ground operator at Miri airport, you will not have access to it again until the group arrives in Limbang. You will need to pack an overnight bag with your essentials for two nights in the national park. Be sure to use a backpack as you will need to do some walking through the jungle and make a few transportation connections with your overnight bag. Day 3
Gunung Mulu National Park

Day 3 Gunung Mulu National Park: Depart the lodge, board a longboat and travel along the Melinau River to the Wind and Clearwater caves. Explore the caves, take a dip in the crystal clear waters, and enjoy a picnic lunch in the rainforest. Continue by longboat to Kuala Litut and start the trek through dense jungle to Camp 5, our stop for the night. Included Activities: Wind and Clearwater Caves Exploration Transport: Boat At Kuala Litut, disembark the longboat and begin the trek to Camp 5, where the group will spend the night. The trail here is well maintained. Walking
Day 4
Headhunters Trail/Limbang

Day 4 Headhunters Trail/Limbang: Set out on the Headhunters Trail, an 11 kilometre trail through Borneo's dense jungle. Trek past streams and caves, all while hearing the sounds of the thousands of species that call this jungle home. Learn about the rich history of the warring parties that created this trail before arriving at Kuala Terikan where you will board a boat down the river to Limbang. Day 5
Limbang/Pulau Tiga

Day 5 Limbang/Pulau Tiga: Start off early for a busy day of travel – by ferry, boat, and private vehicle – to the tropical island of Pulau Tiga. After arriving on the island head out on a trek to a mud volcano and learn more about the region. Included Activities: Mud Volcano Trek Transport: Ferry Private Vehicle Boat

Pulau Tiga

Day 6 Pulau Tiga: Enjoy a free day on this tropical paradise. Opt to go snorkelling, kayaking, or visit Snake Island.

Pulau Tiga/Kota Kinabalu

Day 7 Pulau Tiga/Kota Kinabalu: In Kota Kinabalu, opt to check out the restaurants along the waterfront with some free time in the evening. Transport: Private Vehicle Boat
Day 8
Kota Kinabalu/Kota Belud

Day 8 Kota Kinabalu/Kota Belud: Learn more about the typical lifestyle in the village by taking part in seasonal activities such as rubber tapping, fruit harvesting, and rice planting. Included Activities: Cooking Class Transport: Private Vehicle
Day 9
Kota Belud/Sungai Kinabatangan
None Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner
Day 9 Kota Belud/Sungai Kinabatangan: Travel towards Sandakan and continue to the jungle lodge on the Kinabatangan River, Sabah's longest. After settling in head out for a river safari. After dinner, opt for a guided night walk through the jungle. Included Activities: Kinabatangan River Evening Cruise Transport: Private Vehicle
Day 10
Sungai Kinabatangan
None Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner
Day 10 Sungai Kinabatangan: Begin the day with a river safari in search of wildlife. After breakfast, visit the nearby oxbow lake with a professional guide and seek out proboscis monkeys, pygmy elephants, macaques, and gibbons. Later, visit a nearby cave and, with some luck, spot a wild orangutan. Enjoy another boat cruise along the river to spot more wildlife before returning to the lodge for dinner. Included Activities: Kinabatangan River Wildlife Cruise Guided Oxbow Lake Walk and Wildlife Spotting
Day 11
Sungai Kinabatangan/Sepilok

Day 11 Sungai Kinabatangan/Sepilok: Depart in the morning and travel to Sepilok. Enjoy a visit to the orangutan rehabilitation centre and the adjacent sun bear conservation centre. Included Activities: Sepilok Orangutan Rehabilitation Centre Visit Bornean Sun Bear Conservation Centre Visit Transport: Private Vehicle
Day 12
Sepilok/Pulau Libaran
None Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner
Day 12 Sepilok/Pulau Libaran: Transfer to Sandakan and continue to Libaran Island by boat. Take a guided tour of the island's turtle hatchery and learn about the turtle conservation program. Opt to go snorkelling or kayaking with some free time. Included Activities: Turtle Experience Transport: Private Vehicle Boat
Day 13
Pulau Libaran/Kota Kinabalu

Day 13 Pulau Libaran/Kota Kinabalu: After breakfast, depart Libaran Island and travel back to the Sandakan jetty. From the jetty, transfer to Sandakan airport for a flight to Kota Kinabalu. Transport: Boat Plane

Description

For the adventurer who wants to see as much of Sabah as possible (and in two weeks, no less!) but doesn't want to summit Mt Kinabalu, this is your opportunity. Go for a dip in the awe-inspiring Wind and Clearwater caves of Gunung Mulu National Park. Opt to go snorkelling on the island haven of Pulau Tiga. Get up close and personal with the orangutans at a rehabilitation centre (selfie time!). Really though, you want Sabah? It's waiting for you.
