"Come and learn how to cook cous cous the moroccan way. During the lesson you will also learn how to make mint tea and while waiting for the meal to finish cooking we will drink tea and eat moroccan cookies!
You will learn how to make either chicken or vegetable cous cous depending on your diet preference.
I will teach you how to cook the chicken with the spices and sauce so that it melts in your mouth. We will prepare the vegetables including carrots, courgette, pumpkin, cabbage, tomatoes, turnip and aubergine so that the flavour will leave your mouth begging for me. You will learn how to steam cous cous in a couscoussier the moroccan way with my secret ingredient! To top off the cous cous we will prepare a sweet delicacy of onions, cinnamon and sultanas which brings out an unexpected burst of flavour. Cous Cous is traditionally eaten together on one plate with an accompanied leben (type of sour milk). We will go to the local berber farm and collect the milk fresh!!
Desert is always fresh fruit of the season which could be cherries, watermelon, oranges, apples, pears, honeydew melon, strawberries, cactus fruit, plums, nectarines, figs. The fruits from the sun need no preparation just eating! Plus these could be fresh from my garden.
You will receive a recipe card with all the information to take home with you!
I have a beautiful restored berber cottage with swimming pool and lush garden full of plants and trees which you will beable to relax in. Plus I also have a beber Hamam which you can also use if you let me know in advance. It is heated by wood and takes around 4 hours to heat so I need to know in advance!!
If you want to learn how to make shisha and then smoke this can also be arranged!
Any questions or requests let me know!"
