Your tour begins at the Cruise Pavilion, once Canada’s entry point for new immigrants. From there we'll make our way up through tree-lined streets to Spring Garden Road. We'll stop to admire the unique architecture of the Halifax Public Library as we walk toward the Halifax Public Gardens, one of the finest Victorian gardens in all of North America.
Next we move on to Citadel Hill, the perfect vantage point for a panoramic view of the city and its harbor and a great location for a photo as well!
What goes up must come down and as we descend the hills we climbed a while ago, we head to the heart of Downtown Halifax. We'll pass by the Georgian-style City Hall and Province House, Canada's oldest house of government. We'll stop to see the oldest building in Halifax, St. Paul’s Anglican Church. This lovely white wooden church was constructed in 1750 and is still home to a thriving congregation today.
Our tour concludes at the beautiful Halifax Harbor. From here you will have the option of following the boardwalk back to your ship or browsing the shops and food vendors located at this lovely spot.
