Day 1

Arrive into Montreal and VIP Transfer to The Ritz Carlton Montreal. The Ritz Carlton is the classic 5-star hotel with updates amenities and fresh, contemporary rooms. It has an incredible champagne bar and is in the high-end shopping district of the city.

Day 2

Begin your Montreal adventure accompanied by the best guide in Canada take a very insider walking tour of charming Old Montreal. Visit one of the oldest homes in the city, where Benjamin Franklin once lived. The current owner is an incredible bronze sculptor who will personally show you his workshop and host you for a drink in his garden. Visit the oldest chapel in Montreal next and then get a private insider tour of the magnificent city hall. Stop at a maple producer to learn about the tradition of maple production in Canada and have a fun tasting. Then go behind the scenes at the Archaeological Museum with a curator to learn about the digs going on and have an amazing vantage point of the old port below. Finally end with a private organ concert at the Cathedral. The Cathedral’s organists will play a 30-minute concert just for you as you sit by his side and listen to the 7,000+ pipes!

Have high tea at the Ritz Carlton and enjoy the neighborhood.

In the evening, we will arrange a romantic evening to include a horse and carriage ride through Old Montreal to see the 19 lit projections on the city walls, have a special ice wine and ice cider tasting at a very historical bar in a private space and then a night of traditional Montreal jazz.

Day 3

Montreal is considered one of North America’s foodie cities. In the morning, go on a jaunt of the cities truly special neighborhoods with a local, stopping at some of best chocolate bakeries, local places that make Poutin, smoked meats and the special Montreal bagels. Finish with a stop in the largest year-round market in North American for unique local products.

In the afternoon, head on a behind-the-scenes tour of the Museum of Fine Arts. Considered Canada’s most artistic city, the Museum of Fine Arts has some of the best collections in the country. After the museum closes to the public, have a private tour with a curator to visit the collections. Go behind the scenes at the Pompeii exhibition, and see the incredible finds from the lost city of Pompeii. Then enter the master workshop and see how paintings are restored.

End your day with aa private cooking class / demonstration in a private room of one of the city’s top restaurants. You can get as hands on or hands-off as you want, followed by a 7 course tasting experience.

In the morning, check out of your Montreal hotel. Your driver will transfer you to the Eastern Townships, stopping in charming towns and having a great village lunch. The drive is about 2 hours.

Arrive at the Manoir Hovey, your fantastic Relais & Chateaux retreat in the countryside and unwind with a drink on your balcony overlooking the lake. If you have energy, enjoy a pontoon boat cruise on Lake Massawippi, take canoes or kayaks on your own, play tennis on the lighted clay courts, or take the bikes out to explore the nature around the resort.

Day 5

Your morning is an active one. Soar through the treetops on a suspended recumbent bicycle which travels only as fast as your pedal strokes. You control the speed. VéloVolant is the highest of its kind, supported by towering maples and pines connected by high performance cable. The 1000 meter circuit meanders across a mountainside passing through ravines and over waterfalls. This is an experience that will take your breath away!

Your afternoon on the other hand is a little more decadent, the Eastern Townships is one of the best places to experience Quebec’s amazing cheese producers, beer producers, and its charming towns full of antiques and crafts. Accompanied by an expert local, stop at an excellent local winery to taste their fantastic ice wines. Visit a cheesemaker to have your own hands-on-experience. Visit one of the most beautiful local monasteries to hear the chanting of the Trappist monks and try the fantastic products they still produce.

Day 6

In the morning when you check out of your hotel, your car and driver will be waiting to drive the approximately three hours to Quebec City. Arrive in Quebec City and check into your five-star Relais & Chateaux hotel, the Auberge Saint-Antoine, rated the best Hotel in Canada. Your room will have a terrace with a spectacular view of the Fairmont Frontenac Castle.

There rest of the day is at your leisure. In the evening, have dinner at the hotel’s Relais Restaurant, Panache, one of the best in Canada.

Day 7

Auberge Saint-Antoine - Relais & Châteaux Breakfast

Today your expert insider guide will take you on both a walking tour and drive around Quebec City. Have a special tour of Parliament, with its incredible art collection. Visit the Residence of the Governor General at the Citadelle. Walk the 5 kilometers of fortifications and gates of the only fortified city in North America north of Mexico. Visit the urban park called the Plains of Abraham, the scene of the 1759 battle between generals Wolfe and Montcalm.

The afternoon is circus time. Quebec is well-known for its circus and acrobatics tradition, most notably because of Cirque du Soleil. Today, visit École de cirque de Québec – a training facility for some of the world’s top acrobats and circus performers. Your exclusive, private tour will allow you to see the life of a modern-day circus professional from behind the scenes and even have the opportunity to try your hand at some safe and fun acrobatics if you are so inclined!

In the evening, have dinner at Restaurant Initiale, one of the top dining experiences in Canada.

Day 8

In the morning, check out of your hotel and your driver will begin your drive North toward Charlevoix. Stop at The Basilica of Sainte-Anne-de-Beaupré, a major Roman Catholic place of pilgrimage that has a copy of Michelangelo's Pietà (the original is in the St. Peter's Basilica in Rome). The basilica is also known as a place of miracles. One of the builders of the original church, Louis Guimont, helped build the church despite having severe scoliosis and needing the aid of a crutch. When the church was complete, he was able to walk independently. Also go on a hike to the Canyon Sainte-Anne, to visit the magnificent gorge and waterfall.

Arrive at the Fairmont Le Manoir Richelieu in the early afternoon to check in and enjoy lunch. This beautiful property right on the St. Lawrence River has excellent golf, nature and is a relaxing place to explore this part of Quebec.

In the evening, go on a horse-drawn carraige ride of Charlevoix and enjoy dinner in town.

Day 9

The Charlevoix region and the Saguenay River offer some of the most incredible nature and whale-watching in Canada. Thousands of whales travel north to the area to breed for the summer and it is easy to see more than 50 whales in one visit. Today, your naturalist guide will take you out for a full day of hiking in the Hautes-Gorges-de-la-Rivière-Malbaie National Park, one of the most impressive valleys in Quebec. This National Park constitutes one of the central parts of the Charlevoix Biosphere World Reserve.

In the afternoon, board a private zodiac and go whale watching with your naturalist guide. Being on a small zodiac instead of a big boat allows you to get up and close with the whales for an unforgettable experience!

On your last night, have dinner at the Fairmont and enjoy a massage after a day of hiking and boating.
